gdm
If Wilshere is 20M (with a year to go on his contract!!), we should go back for Cairney. I'd take Perez though. NB. This may be in a parallel universe where Mike Ashley doesn't promise one thing and do another. I think you are confused mind, Perez is the one Arsenal want 20m for not Wilshere. That's not what it says in the article Wilshere has several other options - including Swansea and offers in Italy - but Arsenal do not want to loan him as he only has a year left and want around £20m for a permanent deal. £20m for a guy with his injury problems and with only a year left on his contract is crazy mind
Mole_Toonfan
My bad, looks like i'm the confused one. I read Arsenal wanted 20m for Perez yesterday and assumed.
Stottie
No probs, it looks Perez is a good deal. 12-13M ish. That fee for Wilshere is crazy. He was class, but is a gamble now after all the injuries and the meh impact at Bournemouth. Re Cairney, I reckon every Championship player has a price if you're a PL club with Rafa Benitez. Cairney's 27 in January, so the clock is ticking for chances to step up. (again parallel universe where we spend money)
Dokko
£20m for both seems fair enough.
Parsley
No one's going to pay 20m for Wilshere. I'm excited if we get the fully fit Wilshere but on the other hand, we don't have the money to pay someone to be injured for half the year. Maybe next year. The fact that Bournemouth don't seem interested is quite telling IMO.
Guest
That could just be down to them spending a lot on their keeper and defender mind.
taxfree
We should stay well clear of Wilshere. Way too injury prone to even consider.
Joe_F
So how's that leaving our business to the last week's of the window going in the hope prices will go down ? You dumb twat.

mattypnufc
I'd definitely take him for 5m. Any additional options are welcome.

r0cafella
Joselu Perez and Wilshire would be a dream given the circumstances.
Tiresias
Don't want Wiltshere, hardly tore the league up with Bournemouth and injured half the time. I also can't see too much reason why he would succeed here and not at bournemouth, maybe Rafa's more positionally disciplined style would get him to do more, I dunno? Guest firetotheworks
I'm a big fan of Wilshire's but he's a huge risk. That £5m seems unrealistically low as well. Fingers crossed

Liam
Joselu close to yous. How bothered are you about potentially losing him? A bit disappointed to be honest mate. He's a decent player. His record looks poor on paper (something like 5 goals in 25 appearances) but that doesn't take into account the amount of times he's played a full 90, with the majority of his apps being from the bench. He went out on loan last season to Deportivo and performed well albeit a long injury. 100% should've been given more of a chance at Stoke but unfortunately Hughes' complete incompetence at managing strikers correctly, which is terribly ironic considering how good Sparky was in his prime, meant he became a bit of a scapegoat when things were going wrong in the final third. Not at all surprised we've let him go mind, Stoke have been actively looking for a buyer for a year now, but I am surprised we've let him go for £5m tbh and under a manager that can use strikers correctly I can only assume he'll turn out to be a very shrewd signing for yous.
