Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays

Absolutely quality but I feel for the lads n lasses who put their time and effort In for fans to fuck off after 80 mins and not get behind the team at all.

@Heron with all the hard work and prep and working with the club are they open to taking to wor flags about how we can help get like minded fans together? We added a safe standing area on trial and never added more to it, seems like a step backwards.

What's the feel from the group as it's amazing the work you do but must feel let down by club. To me it seems easy fix, get another few thousand standing in the opposite corner.

Seems like you lot might have more say than others, dunno if the trusts would get on board?

We have contact with folk at the club and we will be expressing our feelings about any move and any considerations that come with it but I personally think it'd need us to do some more "Trust-like" work or simply have them on board to do the data collection/validation of what folk actually want so that it wasn't just us saying "we want this" and comes from a more unified and greater voice.

I do feel we may be able to influence some lower level discussion but ultimately they will do as they please (the club). I'm not overly keen on the notion that we hold more importance than other fans though. I guess that's each to their own opinion wise. Perhaps I'm being modest? I don't know. We spend a lot of time doing these things but really we're just supporters, supporting.

Yep agree with that, I think it's more because you have a lot of respect and backing from fans that it comes as a trusted voice. A new ground may be 5 or 6 years away if not longer so I think the trust line groups need to look at the short term wins to improve what alot of fans want.

Just need more concrete information now rather than this drip fed PR spin we're receiving.

Gabby Agbonlahor suggesting the display is "Nonsense" and we need to chill....

So, here it is - Home Record Under Eddie Howe:

Played: 73

Won: 42

Drawn: 18

Lost: 13

Win Percentage: 57.5%

Lose Percentage: 18.0%

Chill my arse. Irrelevant tosspot.

The whole point of having people like him on Talksport is to say something controversial/inflammatory to drive interaction through people being aggravated by what’s being said.

The best response is to just ignore. They hate that. As you said, irrelevant.

Honestly, the bloke may be the thickest cunt on the planet, though he is doing what he’s paid to - that is, wind people up so that they ring in.  Just ignore him :)

Agbonlahor described Wor Flags' efforts as 'A Bit Too Much'...

In Agbonlahor's afternoon slot on Talksport Drive, he analysed the post-mortem of Newcastle's defeat to West Ham with Andy Goldstein, and he had a rather scathing response to the flag display before kickoff.

"They done it a few weeks ago for Gordon as well because of talk about a new contract. They know that Isak will wanna move to a bigger club. They know that Isak does not want to be out of Europe, he wants to be playing Champions League. He's got the potential. I think he suits Arsenal - the way they play.

"I don't (like the flag display). Because I'm looking at that and I'm saying 'has he signed a new contract?... has something happened?' - what about the other players, though? If you're (Bruno) Guimaraes, if you're other players in that team... what are you saying?

"Newcastle fans have done it because they're trying to show so much appreciation and love that he doesn't leave. I wouldn't like it (if it was done to me), I would be like 'what are you after?'

"I get it because they love him but would Manchester United do that? Would Aston Villa do that? Aston Villa have done it for Martinez after he won the World Cup. But Isak's probably coming out of it and he had his worst game I've seen from him in a Newcastle shirt last night. I think it was a bit too much. Maybe Newcastle fans need to chill. What's next? Red carpet for him outside the stadium when he walks out? Nonsense."

Thicker than a castle wall that kid.

Enjoyed these bits.

"I wouldn't like it (if it was done to me), I would be like 'what are you after?"

Can't imagine why it never happened.

"Would Aston Villa do that? Aston Villa have done it for Martinez after he won the World Cup."

So yes, then. Also did it when a club they had no association or rivalry with were relegated at their ground.

Wonder if it’s a display for Howe given the increasing pressure.

Yeah, the comments in the tweet indicate it is.

It's a display to encourage the team to stand up to be counted utilising a previous quote from Howe.

Social media full of whoppers as ever.

Wonder what the real reason Keegan doesn't want to come to a match is?

He's a romantic and has completely fallen out of love with football for pretty much all the reasons we bemoan about modern football. I have a ton of respect for him for it like.

Fair play but thought he'd come back as a one off at some point for the fans rather than the football itself
