"Done the foreign manager". Aye they're all the same you colossal prick.

[emoji38] This couldn't be more lined up for Alan, man. I can't fucking believe it.

Perversely, part of me hopes he gets it. I could see him blagging it too.

Loads of arm chair fans  massively underestimating Iceland! Good side.

Already saying blame the manager and not the players. The players are overrated and last 16 is about our level. Poor keeper average at best defence, no creativity in midfield. It's no surprise.

Griezmann is going to fist them to death.

Ayt they beat Netherlands twice. They'll probably lose but they'll lose with some respect.

That was like England losing to a League 2 side. Absolute abject, rotten, pathetic and gutless.

It's not. Iceland are a very good side with results to back it up. It's absolute arrogance to dismiss them based on the fact they used to be nothing.

We should absolutely beat them.

No. England are not a good team. There's a reason I bet on Iceland.

Yes, I'm sure you were saying we're not a good team when we won all of our qualifying games and when we beat Germany. We massively underperformed this tournament through poor squad selection and tactics. There's plenty of ability in our team.

We saw in our opening 3 games how easy we are to defend against though. I'd have said England will win before the game but I'm not surprised at all we were beaten, they actually could have had a couple more too.

I'm not arguing that we're capable of winning an international tournament, but I think a different manager could get significantly more from what we have.

People have been saying that about England since 1996. The arrogance of the fans and players, and the unforgiving nature of the media has got to be eradicated before there's any improvement.

I've been completely apathetic towards England and as a result, international football for a long time, but this group of players slightly refreshed my interest. Why shouldn't we give a new batch a chance because the last generation underachieved and over stayed their welcome?

I don't disagree, but if anything had changed, we wouldn't have seen a fat bumbling Rooney in the center of midfield. We wouldn't have seen an utterly pathetic Sterling and impotent Sturridge stink up the place. Vardy won the fucking title, while Sturridge cried about his injuries and God all season, yet he sat on the bench. Drinkwater wasn't even taken to France, and Wilshere waltzed into the squad having done fuck-all for the best part of two years. Something is fundamentally wrong with the English mentality towards football.

Rooney to retire now, please.

Yeah right man. :lol: will demolish San Marino and extend his grip on the England goals record. Can't not take him!

Man. :lol: reverting back to the same old English excuses. Rooney wasn't anywhere near your worst player. He was one of the best. Collectively just a shit show. Joe Hart a disgrace. Full backs lauded as a success yet they have the positional sense of a Syrian.

Using Rooney as a scapegoat is boring as fuck now. France would have ripped England to pieces.

Eh?

1. Rooney was shit. Stop masturbating you blind loveable rogue.

2. I'm not blaming Rooney for England being shite but more than anyone he typified exactly what was wrong with England's entire attitude and approach to the tournament.

Rooney's the captain so I would've at least expected him to try and make things happen, or at least motivate those around him. Compare that to when somebody like Beckham was captain, complete and utter chalk and cheese.

Rooney had his worst game in years. So many mistakes. Whoever says he was one of our best players tonight is either pissed, on the wind up, or just a bit of a knob jockey.

With Froggy you generally get all three reasons.

Well I never... Really didn't see that coming. Despite near 70% England possession, have to say Iceland deserved it. Direct and effective. England had 18 shots, of which only 4 on target. Poor, by any standard.  Four volleys spring to mind, which looked like they were using a ball from the pound shop. Ah well... Well done the North Men.

What I did see coming was the woeful contribution of Rooney. Can't recall seeing as many unforced errors from an international footballer: ageing like milk not wine.

If we were unduly confident to the point of arrogance pre-match, we're not now. Personally, I'm more hurt than I thought I'd be. If such things make you non-English toon-botherers happy, then that's between you and your values. Before I seriously hit the Whisky (fake team and real team heading home feels s****) here's a verse  from the volumes of literature  England has given the world:

"If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools..."

(Kipling, IF)

My favourite Newcastle-related Kipling tale is from India, where after watching the Durham Light Infantry march past he, apparently, said:

"The man who has never heard the 'Keel Row' rising high and shrill above the sound of the regiment...has something yet to hear and understand".

"As I came through Sandgate the, through Sandgate... "[repeat until p*ssed, make that more p*ssed...]

France will ruin them.

France are a top side that's why. Iceland aren't on there level but they are certainly on England's.

Rooney one of our best players :lol: :lol:

Howay man Froggy

He was textbook fat mess Rooney tonight. Sure the fat cunt tried a flip flap at one point.

Manchester United customers are to be ignored on nights like tonight.

Thinking about it last 16 is about right for this team. A keeper made of smoke. Dodgy defence. Zero creativity in midfield. Poor manager. It's not even that much of a new team like people are making out! Hart Cahill smalling walker Rooney Wilshere Lallana sturridge all been in or around the England side for 4 years or more that's majority of the team who played tonight

Fucking hell.

I really want to respect you people after this result, but you all crack me up with your posts, like... Hahahaha ffs!

What was so funny about Kane's FK btw?

He's a professional footballer playing like a Sunday league substitute.

At one point he broke down 4 attacks in the space of 2 minutes, if it wasn't so depressing it'd have been poetic.

Tried a Ronaldo knuckleballer and nearly hit the corner flag.

Sort of followed suit to that fire starter advert bullshit he's in.

Mumbling mongy greedy cunt that he is.
