People turned on him when he defended Pardew and said we should think about where we should be. Not a first choice. For the prem but a decent enough back up. Doesn't have the athleticism, confidence or physical presence to take a ball in a crowded box which is a problem in English football. His powder puff 'punch' near the end of the game was embarrassing and may have cost us another goal. A horrendous, career defining error seems likely at any time. That is far too many mistakes in a short space of time and it could have been even more if we were playing against anyone half decent. Darlow made one mistake last season, when he was thrown into the team with 20 minutes to go. Other than that he looked good and was growing in confidence and ability game by game. Aye, but if your goalkeeper can do the basics it doesn't cost you. He's fucking shit, has been since his first game in pre-season and the clean-sheet malarky hasn't covered it up at all.
