Dwight Gayle (now playing for Hibernian)

Devils advocate and all that jazz. But not sure how you've hammered Gayle in one thread yet back Slimani in another. So i've FYP for Gayle.

Fuck sake man, our own fans debating ability and contribution whilst writing players off because they've only got a 14 page thread.

What have we become?

If he's the right player, in the right system, under the (clearly) right manager, just fucking get behind him. I couldn't care less how much he costs or how many goals he scores. God forbid we might actually praise someone without reverting to laying blame, or even worse, advocate selling them.

Talking about stealing wages, give your head a shake man.

Well mainly because that was Slimani's first start for us and has barely played for ages. I've had plenty of matches to watch Gayle, and rather than crucifying him (as you claim) I'm simply hoping we sell him. He's our current number 9, he can't score goals.

Obviously the length of the thread was tongue in cheek, but fair play at your attempt at humour.

He'll be 29 by the time the start of next season rolls round. Definitely the right time to shift him on. I think we'll get our money back from a promotion chasing Championship side.

Been a great signing for us though, all things told. Was exactly what we needed going into last season.

A striker that's functional and durable to the standards needed would be nice. Not sure if that suitcase would do any worse for us upfront than Gayle and Joselu.

Just saw him on SSN talking about "Suitcasegate"

Reporter asked him if Newcastle didn't give him one. Flat out said they don't give you anything.

There's plenty of Dunlop suitcases at sp*rtsd*rect the players can use their £2 off vouchers for if they want
