wormy
The little bit about Rafa telling him he was welcome to stay the season after promotion was nice. Always thought he could be handy coming off the bench if needed that first season back.
Robster
Will never forget him for that goal at Huddersfield. Fantastic moment.
gjohnson
A great example of how you don't need to to be the best to be appreciated here. Some effort when playing and no complaints when not. Good lad. See also Sibierski
huss9
so Rafa did know what he was doing all along. bet the likes mourinho wouldnt have had a clue about him had they been our coach. saying that, though, he wouldnt have stayed with us after relegation. gazza ladra
A great example of how you don't need to to be the best to be appreciated here. Some effort when playing and no complaints when not. Good lad. See also Sibierski Remember Kieron Dyer (I think) complaining about Le Sib's cult status. Said that he had done much more for the club than Sibierski, which is true. But it's amazing what exceeding everyone's expectations can do for you.
Raconteur
Galling, but completely unsurprising, that Ashley was so pissy about the success of Rafa's Murphy gambit. Simply cannot tolerate being proved wrong.
xLiaaamx
Off topic but since it's been brought up, Dyer doesn't really get the recognition he deserves I feel.
gjohnson
Dyer was very good, however a combination of injuries and media stories (true or not) contributed to him being rather disliked. Consider Asprilla....I can only remember a few good contributions from him and both are quite obvious. He was here only 2 years and didn't score that many, but is still almost universally liked. Yorkie
Dyer was ridiculously good on his day. Have we had a faster CM in the PL era? Sissoko would maybe be up there had he not played mostly on the wing.

Sifu
Dyer was very much underappreciated I'd say and that's down to his overall attitude during his latter years with us (same rationale applies to Bellamy as well IMO).
