Gateshead 4 Hartlepool 3

Darlington 4 Scarborough 3

Spennymoor 1 South Shields 1

Blyth 3 Whitby 4 (was 0-3 last time I saw, so was thinking this could have been 0-5/6)

Stockton 1 Hebburn 1

Workington 2 Morpeth 2

Bishop Auckland 3 Consett 1

Dunston 2 Newton Aycliffe 1

Heaton 1 Ashington 3

For the Stan lads on here, has anything obvious changed since the start of the season, or just starting to find it tough? I think in their first 11 league games they W4 D3 L4 so around 15 points (if that's what they did), but in their last 12 games they have only W1 D2, so just 5 points. They could have just had harder fixtures, or momentum gone from promotion or something, but that's a hell of a contrast from one period to the next.

Bishop Auckland, who were also promoted from the Northern League last season, have kind of done the exact opposite. They started the season with just 6 points from their first 10 matches (W1 D3 L6), but since then have taken 24 from their last 11 matches (7W 3D 1L).

It's been a combination of things for Stan, big players have been missing and their backup keepers have been shipping goals, but generally now their confidence is shot to shit. They've been competing in most games, however they never seem to take their half chances but are giving really sloppy goals away at the other end....today's match was a prime example of that. I'll be amazed if they stop up, and I don't think the club will be too devastated if they go back down in all honesty.

I wasn't going to go again, but I see Prudhoe's home match was postponed today due to power failure. It was called off around 5 hours before kick off.

Some interesting results in Division 1

Redcar Ath continue to stumble, crazy contrast in form from earlier in the year, and they were very well backed on the northern league forum during the pre season predictions thread, so I wonder if they've lost any players / investment or something. Neither Shildon nor Blyth were playing today, Boro R lost (to Kendal), Newcastle BS won at North Shields who have now lost back to back home matches against promotion / play off rivals in quick succession.

On the train home now having watched Berwick v Gala Fairydean Rovers. Surprised by the amount of Geordies there today taking in the game. Had 6 of them sat behind us and seen a few others in the bar areas.

Berwick lost 2-1 and are in real danger of dropping out of the Lowland league now which would be a complete and utter disaster for them and could ultimately see them go out of existence.

Don't know him but Gateshead forward moving North.

Not surprised. Watched him against Carlisle in Pre Season. Not sure if it was his debut but it was certainly the first time I'd seen him play and he was superb. Carlisle couldn't handle him. Gateshead ran out 2-0 winners and he scored both the goals. Was clear then that he could play at a much higher level.

Will be interesting to see how he does up there but best of luck to him.

Blyth at Morpeth today in a local derby. Still waiting for their first win, since the club was sold.

One of four cracking local matches along with York against the Heed, Shields vs Darlo and Consett vs the Stan.

Absolute bastard this as I had him 33/1 to be the division's top scorer and he was within 2 goals of the leader.

Heed always gets picked apart with players and managers, hopefully it won't derail them too much. Wonder if we could send them Parkinson or someone to help out.

Seems all wasn't right at Redcar Ath. Their Chairman (and money man) and Managing Director have both left.
