Notts Forest 2 - 1 Newcastle United - 02/12/16 - Both red cards rescinded by FA

If I was Rafa I would have taken the players off as soon as the 2nd penalty and red card was given.

If Forest get back into it then we should get another couple of players sent off to abandon the game.

Cunning plan.

Shelvey kicked out, inside the box. No matter how big of a t*** Lansbury is, it´s still red and a penalty. Dummett barged down Lansbury from behind in a clear goal scoring opportunity.

I get the siege mentality and all that, but I bet you most people supporting other football clubs will agree with the decisions.

Now lets go out there, park the bus and get those 3 points. Would taste so f***ing good!

"Barged"  :lol:

I agree Shelvey should've been sent off but there's no way Dummett should've been. It's not a deliberate attempt to foul him, it's not a red card.

I can see the argument for why it shouldn´t. At the end of the day it boils down to whether the ref think it was deliberately done or not. I think the fact that Dummett could have easily gone to either side of Lansbury instead swayed his decision.

Surely the Dummett red can be appealed?

1. He was already on the way down.

2. The new rule is that it's not a red card even if it is a penalty.

Would be an absolute disgrace if it stands like. Simply put it's the worst decision I've ever seen in a football match. I don't think that's hyperbole either.

Still the Ben Arfa 'get up' and no penalty vs Man City by Atkinson for me. I had to stop myself from nutting the wall.

The f*** was Dummett sent off for. They changed the f***ing rule. Wasn't even a foul regardless. Whole thing is f***ed.

Completely forgot about that.

Last man is only a yellow now isnt it? So wtf was he red carded for? Outside the box it'd only be a free kick, no card. Yet he got red?

It's not a red if there's "Genuine attempt to play the ball" nothing about a player fucking diving and the ref buying though assume that's still a red.

Even if you think Dummett's was a pen, the new rule is that it's not also a red card.

No. Not automatically a red card. Red is still entitled to send him off.

I have, and they've been posted and quoted many times in this very thread.

If the challenge is deemed deliberate he can send him off.

Watch it more closely again man. There's an attempt for Shelvey to stand, he ever so slightly grazes Lansbury's face. Shelvey makes another attempt to stand up, he's a bit more forceful as he pushes himself up off Lansbury's thigh, again though for a contact sport it's hardly aggressive.

It's ok to want to be cool by going with the opposing viewpoint, but you are just wrong, I'm sorry, pick a better battle next time.
