Does she do anything with west ham now?  Just seems to be on the apprentice with a sour face.  Looks like a dog chewing a toffee

Still works for them.

Lack of statement suggests that it's been chaos there today. They want to be all singing from the same hymn sheet but since communication has been taken away from certain people.....

This explains who runs the website then.  As soon as Charnley gets out of his cell or gets his laptop back then he'll publish the statement.

Wait,  ashley let charnley buy a laptop for business use from the club's account? SHOCKED.

That's just the nature of a press office in a relatively big business. It can be painful getting any statement signed off for any sort of minor event, let alone when it involves an ongoing criminal investigation. They'll have lawyers pouring over every word too.

West Ham released a statement right away. Silence from us.

Not saying there's owt to read into it, like  But the guy who has to 'ok' an official statement is locked up

You'd think we'd be well enough ran to have a contingency :yao:

Contingency? Sounds expensive, best just not do that.

I absolutely fucking hate that i Love this club! Its beyond ridiculous this, cant fucking believe it! Not even allowed to be Happy for more than 2 fucking days. I joked with a friend the other day that it would be typical Newcastle if we were deducted points or something similar, why fucking why.....

Thats cos the guy who does everything at the club was lifted,  he was probably scrubbing the pissers at the Gallowgate end when the fuzz turned up.

If guilty, surely Ashley is also culpable for ultimately sanctioning deals and allowing it to happen.

Any chance of him being investigated under this FA rule?

Owners’ and Directors’ Test

The Owners’ and Directors’ Test applies to all clubs in the Premier League, English Football League, National League, Isthmian League, Northern Premier League and Southern Football League. The purpose of the Test is for the owners, directors and officers of clubs in those leagues to meet standards greater than that required under law so as to protect the reputation and image of the game. The Premier League and English Football League administer the Test for clubs in their leagues. Any queries in relation to the application of the Test to a club in membership of the Premier League or English Football League should be addressed to the respective league. The FA administers the Test to clubs in membership of the National League and the three leagues below. Any queries in relation to the application of the Test at that level of the game should be addressed to The FA at [email protected].

The intention behind this Appendix 3 is to protect the image and integrity of The League and its competitions, the well-being of the Clubs, and the interests of all of the stakeholders in those Clubs, by preventing anyone who is subject to a 'Disqualifying Condition' being involved in or influencing the management or administration of a Club.

More specifically, Appendix 3:

(a)    prohibits a person who is subject to a Disqualifying Condition from becoming a 'Relevant Person' for any Club for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists;

(b)    requires a person who was already a Relevant Person before the Disqualifying Condition arose to stop being a Relevant Person for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists; and

©    requires each Club not to permit any person who is subject to a Disqualifying Condition either become a Relevant Person or (if he was already a Relevant Person before the Disqualifying Condition arose) to continue to be a Relevant Person for the Club, for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists.

Appendix 3 also imposes reporting requirements on Clubs and on individuals who are or propose to be Relevant Persons of Clubs, to facilitate The League's policing and enforcement of these restrictions.

My job relates to this sort of thing, but hard to tell anything at this stage really.  Could be any number of things.

Having the first publicly-released information about the investigation be the arrest of your executive is not a great sign, mind.
