De Jong is the happiest man in the world at just being outside

The size of Hanley there! Even compared to LeJeune..

He'd nearly be worth keeping just for the Stoke game.

Hes on his tip toes if you look at his feet. Dont know why?

Good spot that! ? So he's about the same size as Florian.. who seems to be solid by all accounts.

Wonder if we'll play 3 CB's and 2 wing backs during this season.

Anyone who was at the game fancy giving a bit of a review/player rating?

It was nothing special mate. De Jong fluffed a few chances. Some of them still need to get a bit sharper Aarons. Mbemba was tested at RB and was fairly poor ahead of him Atsu wasnt setting the place on fire. Personally I thought the second side was better than the first half side. We saw Callum Roberts get a short stint down the left he looked ok. Top of the bunch were Lejeune who was fairly solid and made very little errors passing out from the back.

Shelvey was standard usual good display, Dwight Gayle was like a man possessed running all over, he seemed to have bulked up maybe for the prem facing stronger defences? Mitro did ok won lots of flicks took his goal well and also smashed one of the inside of the post, which looked like his second goal as we all jumped about to find it wasnt a goal. Murphys debut was nothing special looks like he is still getting used to his new team mates, ahead of Yedlin that right side looked very threatening, but he switched for the final 15 for the introduction of Manquillo, Murphy looks rapid mind, I also thought Yedlin was class.

Still looks like we need to shift a fair few on,some youths out on loan and maybe flog Hanley, Diame.

Also Dummett needs some competition for that LB spot, theres nobody knocking on the door.

Cheers, sorry cant be bothered to rate them individually. It was nothing special. Those mentioned probably an 8 the rest 6s or 7s

Avoided the score and just watched the whole game. That second half was horrendous. Glad we signed Murphy in pre-season as if he'd played like that in a competitive game he'd get slaughtered on here :D

Nobody especially stood out. We pressed quite well in the first half and really could have had a few more (shocking touch from Mitro when put through and De Jong had a couple of chances he could have done better with).

Following on the trend from last season, looked ropey from crosses and set pieces. Still early days in pre-season so can use the old classic 'good work out' and move on.
