Its one thing to give a pass in what should be a period of growth to players not up to it but he's been here years too long already and kept so long its going to end on a sour note for all concerned. Without the numbers he was putting up last season he's become essentially useless and worthless, his only redeeming qualities last season were his goal contributions and now they're dried up he's looking like a waste of a shirt every game he plays. There aren't many wingers in the Premier League older than him and still producing. He won't ever produce the output he has before and his flaws will only become more apparent as time goes on.
