samptime29
He's been at Chelsea on the bench. He goes to PSG/Bayern, he'll be on the bench. He wants to play football, and he knows he can get that here. Not saying it definite, but I think we have a solid enough chance of getting him (obviously if we pay the right money for the transfer and to him). STM
Smells like Chelsea pushing up the price.
Tsunami
I’d be very surprised if he’s here next season. If we get sold and Rafa can sell a vision we just might keep him. He’s putting himself in the shop window and we’re just window shopping with Ashley in charge. Chelsea will want more than 15M.
Jimburst
He's not PSG or Bayern level FFS, he's looked half decent for us on the counter but he's probably more Wilf Zaha than Neymar, like.
Darth Crooks
May well be the case but the names are alluring and I feel there's a romanticism about his time here that's being overplayed. Love to be wrong.
Tsunami
He may not be Bayern or PSG level but with those names being mentioned it’s reasonable to think that better opportunities than Newcastle under Ashley will come his way.
sugoinufc
NUFC is his lvl for now. He is good - although he sometimes controls the ball poorly and often slides or fall over. That said - sign him up! He is Brazilian FFS...when did we last have one of those....?
Zero
Half a season starting in EPL = PSG or Bayern bound? Serious? Tell Kenedy to consult Sanches before doing any silly things.

Darth Crooks
Him not being good enough for their 1st teams and those clubs appealing to him dont cancel each other out. It's whether he has the sense to weigh up the variables, if true.
Jimburst
He's currently at Chelsea, who didn't even want to let him leave at the start of the season. I think he definitely values playing first team football, or he'd still be at Chelsea.
STM
It's also dependent on their interest. They may have enquired but that's a long way off putting a bid in.

Dave
Can't believe people are still falling for the 'he'll not want to sit on [insert_richer_more_successful_club]'s bench' thing with footballers.

I can't believe that people are still falling for anything where football and specifically Ashley and NUFC are concerned.

Why did he leave Chelsea? Why did he say he'd move to us happily, instead of sitting on the Chelsea bench? You're literally commenting this on a piece of evidence that disproves your point . NUFC_Chris
Can't help but think this Sky News 'news' is just an attempt at a bit of shit stirring now we're pretty much safe. Sky 'understands' PSG & Bayern are interested, yada yada yada. He's of course not our player, he's indicated he'd be open to a move, I still think he's a way off a move to a PSG or Bayern. jackyboy
He's playing better for us and under Rafa than he ever did at Chelsea. There fans didn't rate him at all.

"Footballers". As if all footballers have the same values and the same professional goals. Maybe not as diverse group as some other professions but still, quite a generalisation. Why didn't he leave Chelsea in the summer? To clarify, I'm specifically referring to the concept of him turning the likes of PSG down to come here, as had been proposed. steve_69
If he gets an opportunity to move to one of the big CL clubs then fair play to the guy. It's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity and you couldn't blame him for going for it. As a footballer he has to back himself to succeed wherever he goes. If it just paper talk though, I think we'd be in pole position to sign him. He's absolutely thriving under Rafa and he's loved by the fans. It would be great to see a banner for him at the last home game of the season thanking him for what he's done. Might just tug on the heartstrings a bit.
