He missed a one on one when play had stopped. He’s awful. He did win a few fouls mind.

It's not just the miss, the first touch was horrific too, and it really wasn't that hard a ball to control

He did his bit today, like. The same bit he's done in quite a few games in 2018. It's pretty much all he's good for and I really hope we're in a position to move him on in the summer. But he really helped us close the game out today.

Shelvey gave him a right bollocking at one point when he tried a daft turn rather than just holding it up.

Riviere or Joselu

Joselu's scored more but fuck, he's even worse to watch than Riviere. Riv at least had some energy about him and could move about. Joselu literally can't break out of jogging pace and just bumbles about doing nothing occasionally sticking out a lazy leg when the ball comes near him.

Can we all just take a quiet moment to reflect on that cameo. My word.

The crowd were getting quite tense by the end and then the ball came to him on the edge of the box but rather than control it he just let it bounce straight off his leg and safely to one of their players but rather than drawing any derision everyone just started laughing.

I don’t think some people realise the capability level of professional footballers. Especially those maintaining top flight careers. Joselu will be excellent at striking the ball, there was a recent quote about him being one of the best finishers at the club. Of course he’ll be aware of how he is perceived, he looked near suicidal after the two misses against Burnley. If you watched him train or joined in some shooting practice with him you’d no doubt think he was a world-beater. Whilst he’s never going to turn into something he isn’t, I really think a bit of back to basics (blast the f***er on target) and luck/rub of the green would do wonders for him. Suspect he’s missed his chance now (no pun), but maybe Slimani can show him the way.

As we're seeing with Gayle top flight football is very much about margins for strikers. Throw Joselu in the championship he'll no doubt hit double figures and be a very useful player.

We'll find out next season.

Bet you're fewmin' that we're mid-table

Not good enough, not his fault that he was brought in. Fault of the club for restricting Rafa to the point of having to bring him in. But simply has to be moved on in the summer. Not cut out for PL level.

The abuse he gets when putting pictures of his bairn on social media is just not on though.
