But I do understand fans wanting a defensive mid as an option. As we don’t really have anyone that is recognised in that role and I think at times we lack someone for the FM Anchor/Tiote role. All a bit of a moot point. As Howe has gone down the route of getting another box to box type midfielder in for big money. Not excusing the horseshit that was yesterday but we have had the hardest start in the league. If we're languishing in the bottom half at the close of play on 8 October then I think we can look at just what isn't working. It looked liked they would get Maguire and McTominey out the door a few weeks back but couldn’t make the deal. They’ve spent a shitload and only recouped on Elanga and Telles.
