Other clubs' transfers

Seems obvious that PSR is bad for the PL product, starving itself of money and glamour. Sadly the PL isn’t a company with a single strategy and operates with this weird members club approach, producing some odd decisions.

If players start doing the off to the continent due to PSR you can bet the premier league will be looking for changes quick sharp 😂

Sky have gained a whole new deadline day to broadcast and dramatise though, which probably helps.

Wow, that deadline where clubs have to get those 3rd and 4th choice goalkeepers over the line, or swap 18 year olds who nobody has ever heard of.

It'll get boring fast, if it hasn't already.

Not even SCREAMING JIM WHITE, Kaveh, Dharmesth, Pete Graves and some random vlogger can liven up that premise.

Sessegnon back to Fulham. Barely 24 he’s been around since we were in the champ with Rafa. Strange career

I had stocks in this lad but it’s gone horribly for him.

Both him and the Portuguese lad did great things as teenagers in the Champ for Fulham - joined top 6 clubs and never got anything going.  It’s better to stick at those clubs or join a West Ham type club. Young lads don’t get minutes if they don’t perform at top 6 clubs.  Your Palace’s and West Ham’s usually won’t have as much competition and will play you through some rough patches.

Not a transfer as such, but what do people expect to come of Fabio Carvalho? Stay with Liverpool

this season and get some proper game time for them?

Sent out on loan. Potentially a Minteh-esque one to a upper echelon club in a Euro league.

Seemed to do well at Hull But poorly in Germany.

Arne Slot is the man for him. He seems to trust youth.

Worse than that is the optics of clubs being forced to sell their young talent and homegrown players to stay on the right side of PSR. The whole thing has turned into an embarrassing shitshow.

They have sellable assets we don’t

True.  But they are implementing buy back clauses for their young talent.  We should’ve done something like that for Minteh.

They got Maatsen in their FFP fuckery.  We’ve got a no hoper.

Aston Villa deal with PSR way smarter than we do.

Not really. They just have a better foundation for dealing with it.

How do we know Brighton would have been happy with us inserting a buy back clause?

What benefit would it be for them

That’s my point. Villa are strategically selling youth to clubs that will accept a buy back.  That’s executing a plan that keeps their best youngsters as Villa players long term.

Our plan was just to shift the lad. We were so desperate that we didn’t even receive the highest bid. we apparently don’t have a sell on either.

Minteh had a lot of suitors too.

With a bit more time and strategy why couldn’t we have done what Villa have done with Philogene and Archer?

we signed a clunker from Forest too.
