But they’ve spent a bit and got a couple in on loan trying to stop up.

Ketsbaia
So not only are Forest refusing to drop off but they now have ambition? Very frustrating
Sibierski
Giving how Forest have operated since being back, wouldn’t be shocked if they spent a load by end of Jan on a big signing and if they make some form of Europe, spend another £100m+ to try and stay at top end. Owner will gamble and happily run the risk of a small points deduction.

They've got too many 10s and RWs. Lads end up 3rd, 4th choice and can't develop. Enciso is a 10 right? JP, Rutter start ahead of him. That Baleba has come good but he doesn't have crazy competition at CM. He was bad last season. Enciso can play RW but he's 4th choice there too I believe. Gamble moving forward is spend beyond their and PSR means, and hope PSR is binned / watered down over next 12 months. Enables them to be in a better position than others who have tried to play it by the book. At worse, they have countless players of good selling age to fall back on. Ederson, Ake, Stones, Akanji, Walker, Gundogan, KDB, Silva, Kovacic and Grealish. That’s a big group of players where Ederson aside, the sales are likely not there for good money. So need to find funds from somewhere in coming seasons and they can’t keep selling off the youth. Bobb / McAtee / O’Riley / Lewis all need to be key squad players and pathways open for them over next 18 months or they will be fucked. Do think Pep will hold the side together next season, but when he goes, people will act shocked at the drop off because the squad is overlooked. Not sure why you’ve added in Doku there? The lads 22 years old and already shown he’s got talent. Kova wasn’t bought to sell on. I think we paid £30m for him. Kalvin Phillips and Nunes are good examples of absolute crap we’ve bought - for £96m that we’ll have to take a big loss on. Equally though, we made a huge profit on Alvarez and players like Torres. The College Dropout
Man City "have 700m" in revenue and at worst - the second best academy in England. They are getting £50m for academy players every year. A lot with sell-on clauses like Romeo Lavia.

You are saying you would pay more than £50m? He hasn't shown nearly enough to be rated even at that. I think they should bite their hand off unless Amorim has actual use for him

He is rated very highly, but he doesn't fit into Amorim's system, and a good sale on him would allow us to spend quite heavily in the summer. It's a transfer that makes sense. He also has ego and attitude issues so there won't be too many upset at him leaving, even if he is very talented. It'll be more than £50m though unless there's a big sell on clause or numerous add ons.

A goal involvement for an attacking midfielder every 206 minutes and £50m is "not even close to enough" Not saying he's a bad player or he doesn't have potential, but every time I see him he looks very average.
