Man City are making the kind of cheap European buys I expected us to make under Mitchell

Khusanov Bah Cherki Ait Nouri

very well run

They rarely buy top end and when they do it’s discounted such as Haaland

As long as they get a decent fee it will help in terms of PSR.

If it is less than the amortisation value that is left, it doesnt. Same reason we cannot sell Vlach anywhere.

Cheap? Khusanov, Cherki and Air Nouri is £90m+ :D

Haaland wasn’t discounted either. Had a release clause, but then all his agent signing on fees took it to a very big transfer.

Bournemouth want €70m/£59m for Zabarnyi. PSG only willing to go to €50m. Wonder if we might come in for him at some point. Was rumoured Howe liked him a while back I think

Would love him, but they aren’t selling unless it’s a huge fee.

He'd be my ideal RCB, but it'll take a hefty fee to get him out of Bournemouth.

Agreed, think he's class. If we had to overpay on him I don't think I'd mind that much tbh. The fact that PSG want him too is encouraging

That is cheap for three first teamers in this day and age. Especially considering Liverpool are bidding over 100m for Wirtz.

Man City recently are operating in that 30-50m price bracket primarily for potential gems, rather than finished articles. With the odd big money move where needed. Probably a shift in strategy since the flop with Grealish.

Khusanov may turn out good, but you can’t be disappointed to miss out on him, given how poor he has been so far ?

Ait Nouri will be only one that’s a first teamer on the regular, and that’s courtesy of one year left on his deal.

Agree Man City primarily operate in the 30-50 range as they often don’t want to outlay huge wages all the time which the 60m+ fees bring. But it’s still many signings at that price point which no other club can match.

Marmoush, Reis, Khusanov, Savinho, Gonzalez, Cherki, Ait Nouri, Rejinders £290m+ since start of last summer :D  Which doesn’t count signing on fees and agent fees. It’s insane. Season before can add Gvaridol, Doku, Nunes, Kovacic and Echeverri for another £230m :D Helped by bringing in £300m from sales, but it’s still a huge outlay that only Chelsea can match with their broken model.

Bournemouth losing Huijsen, Zabarnyi, Kerkez and possibly even Semenyo is brutal

Why don't these Saudi teams every buy Newcastle players

It’s coz we’ve mostly got British players who rarely go over there.

Theyve been interested in Miggy and Dubravka, Trippier also as he has the England credentials

We don’t have many high level players worth much that they’d sign. If Barnes Willock and Murphy were sexier names or from more exotic backgrounds they might have had some interest

Fair point, such an easy win though, what could anyone say if we sold that Greek Keeper for £50 Million ?
