With Pep having his customary winge at the end of the season and with the players they are bringing in how many players will Man City have to sell ? It seems like their squad is already huge.

Man U could sign 10 world class players and I'd still not be worried about them. Give it a few months and a string of bad results and the atmosphere will turn toxic again.

Maignan is comfortably better than the pool of keepers they currently have. They won't cough up £30m for him but they'll probably go spend £30m on four more keepers combined in the next 18 months.

Thought occurred to me.

 

If you employed 30 scouts full time, and paid them all 200k per year, that would cost 6m a year.

 

You'd only need to produce one 6m pound profit annually - ie, sell one well-scouted player per year - to break even.

 

I have no idea what our scouting network is like. But you'd hope we have full time scouts based locally to every major league globally, with a shared data set, all hunting the next 2-10m buys for 20-50m sells.

Scouts would be getting paid 'normal' wages - 50-60k a year. It's mostly part time so probably even less than that

Only 18 months older than Miley or so. Gittens is showing some signs of elite ability but also way off it in major ways. It's a gamble.

 

Minteh compares favourably to a lot of these players in some key ways. Such a shame.
