This forum clique banter is canny like. When transfer window forums are filled with threads about Mike Williamson and Sean Longstaff it's not the worst idea to start slagging each other off.

Obviously there is a group of members here that the forum 'evolves' around, and are friendly with each other outside this forum, and so displaying any sign of disrespect to them is a grave, grave sin. They are like pack of wolves, if one is attacked the others jump in to 'defend' that one. (Except they're not intimidating; more like pathetic playground kids that need each other for support.)

I have to agree, I’ve met a good number off here for the Lockwood Cup and while face to face they showed me nothing but love and hero worship not to mention respect and courtesy by making me captain and inviting me to join them afterwards for drinks and food or orgies or whatever, the snide bastards give me nothing but stick on here behind my back. I bet they wouldn’t say it to my face. The cunts.

In all seriousness, as clique as some members are whether that’s because they all know each away away from their real life of N.O or are under the influence of Dave’s no doubt top secret admin and moderator programme where everyone has to act, think and be the same, I don’t think any sides ever get taken when it comes to debate.

Me and Stiffler for example are practically brothers, but he doesn’t half talk some shite and I guarantee he will read this and think what a cunt, it’s him that talks shite.

He’d be wrong as usual of course!

Did they have to extend half time for the team talk? [emoji38]

My first school report read “talks a load of shite”, I call it a gift :D

Seriously, it’s a forum, as QM said it’s human nature to form cliques. I hate gang mentality and seeing people have their opinions jumped on by a majority even if they deserve it, online or offline, but it rarely happens on here and when it does it’s normally a piss take or because the opinion is offensively dumb or just plain fucking wrong. Like Rich and Ian W’s relentless defence of Pardew, Wullie’s love in for Jonas or Crumpy Gunt labelling Rafa’s football better than KK’s. NE5 was the worst though when it come to anyone crediting or prasising Freddy Shepherd.

Stiffler is brilliant. Just happens to be unaware of his comic genius.

The thing you have to know with Stiffler is that nothing is said for effect nor does he bulshit. Even if it’s unbelievable or doesn’t sound right, it’s not bull shit or a lie. He’s a good lad and a forum legend for me, funny as fuck without as you said, being aware. Either that or he’s fucking playing a Ken M on all of us

Always funny when people get upset over namecalling and social hierarchy on a largely anonymous internet forum like.

I'm not upset, it's nothing more than your interpretation. I'm highlighting it because nowadays it seems that every time someone expresses an opinion that's that doesn't 'fit in', people get slagged off by those certain sections of the forum. Pathetic, childish and petty. Not to mention cowardly (as people relay on each other for back up knowing that support is not too far away for them).

I remember before we played Man City at SJP (0-2 Yaya brace), most people on here were very confident about us getting a result and there was a feeling in the air of almost arrogance about it. After the match, I expressed my opinion that was along the lines that Pardew's tactics were too cautious and that we should have done better by playing a more attacking game. Needless to say, the majority of the usual members jumped on me stating things among the lines "it's Man City, man", "they're champions", blah blah blah, etc. Clearly, the following season, which we then knew more about Pardew, showed that I was well and truly right in criticising him (irrelevant how good a season we had - something which most people clearly were blinded by!). It was that day that I thought the majority of fuckers on here are nothing more than conformists who adopt the same opinion as the 'popular' members on here for one reason or another - mainly because they're ball-less to express an opinion that might 'stand out'.

And it's not an anonymous forum for many, I've been here, and around previous NUFC boards, for nearly two decades now - hardly something that's not important when it comes to the online experience.

Anyway, am I not invited to the barbeque or what?

You made only two post match posts and got two replies. This is your entire exchange after that match:

Bitter in the way we lost it, but we still had a great season.

How can you be bitter? When we pushed men forward they counter-attacked us to death. If we had done that from the beginning then we would have been f***ed. It was an excellent game plan but the execution was just short. If we had held out for five more minutes, they would have had to push up and who knows what could happen. We certainly weren't going to beat them going head on. Did you watch them dominate against Man Utd?

No, I didn't want us to go gun-ho and attack them from the off. But I felt we could have found a better balance between containment and attack. (i,e, against Man Utd) Anyway, it's not as if Man City aren't good at winning tight games.

Just a bit disappointed in our approach to the game, we proved all season that we can spring a surprise or two. Don't think our players looked that comfortable out there playing cautiously for that long.

City are brutal though.  Aguero, Tevez and Nasri can slice teams apart.  You have to keep in mind that Manchester United could offer nothing against them earlier this week.  We have over-achieved all season and whilst we have a lot of heart (probably more than any of the top five teams), playing against world class players is never going to be easy.

You've been carrying that chip round on your shoulder for six years.

Dinho, you do come across as very defensive sometimes mind with your opinions. Dunno why, you often make valid points and know your stuff IMO so don’t need to be so defensive about your views. Just my observation anyway. Anyway... back to Ashley, the cunt he is.

No, I haven't been carrying around a chip on my shoulder for six years - just that it didn't bother me until recently. And I'm sure there was more exchanges made, perhaps in other threads.

Anyway, why aren't I surprised that it was you that brought up the old posts? Seems to be your job. I wonder how many times in the past you visited old posts only to find that they didn't fit your agenda and were ignored?
