But surely if he'll improve the team in a place that desperately needs improving it had to happen. Maybe they were confident of getting Sturridge? The whole pont of this window (in my view) was to push the boat out, buy someone who can score the goals that can keep us up. We were told to get the deal done by 6pm yesterday, Feyenoord won't have time to get a replacement now. They already said in so many words our bid wasn't serious.
