Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord

If you think he's a £15m player, you'll have to pay more to get him from the club who don't really want to sell him. It's not about that though is it, we simply had no intention of buying him, we knew the price and have just played out a PR exercise in misleading the fans and manager AGAIN.

Our fans: Never heard of him, dutch players are s*** in the Premier League

Also our fans: Why aren't we blowing our entire budget on him, cough up Mike!!!

The two things are fine. You can question a player's potential quality and question why the club that presumably believes in his quality isn't willing to pay the asking price.

Maybe they believe he is a 15m player not the 20m asked by Feyenoord?

If he was a 15m player, why would Feyenoord not have sold him for that instead of asking for 25m? They told us to p*ss off and keep our 15m, actions speak louder than lies.

Maybe they value him at 25m? Teams will have different opinions on a players value.

Like they did before with Aubameyang and Lacazette. They are undoubtedly masters of player valuation even ignoring the cost of another likely relegation due to our Championship squad.

If we knew they wanted say £12m, we would have bid £9m.....i really don't get how anyone can't see that shit for what it is now.

Remember when we used to read about how furious the owners of all of these selling clubs would be when we were trying to buy their player? We used to have a pop at them for moving the goalposts and pissing about but it was us all along. We’re an absolute shambles off the pitch, lacking ambition, class and integrity. They deserve all the shit they’re going to get, 3 relegations in 9 years and the penny still hasn’t dropped for some.

There is no doubt the club are run by idiots and that is 100% the problem. Teams know we are desperate and can push the price up if they want to keep their player knowing we won't pay it, when we really we shouldn't be.

We should have a list with plenty of options that we have looked at for while. Not try and get some random Danish lad who looks to have had an average career, and loan a crock from Liverpool.

Yep, we all know that now don't we. I just want my club back, i don't know how anymore, i just want it back.

I think we can be fairly certain with Rafa Benitez that we had a decent list of options on the go for basically every single position.

Clearly nothing is acted on & as mentioned in the other thread this has been purposeful from the start of the window.

Then they should only need to look at our current striker situation to realise that they're idiots. It's never ever about how much it's worth as part of the bigger picture.

If you're dying of thirst, you pay whatever it costs for a glass of water, you don't die while patting yourself on the back for not being held to ransom. It's quite obviously a ransom situation, pay what you have to pay to survive.

The fact that the low-balling bids is a meme is in itself a tragic indictment. You don't really hear anyone making jokes about Swansea or Leicester making joke bids window after window.

Two pretty bad examples though. Swansea spunked 13m on Bony and pretty much fuck all else.

Leicester are trying to get rid of their two strikers they just spent a tonne on.

I wouldn’t liken it to a ransom situation at all. There is just absolutely no intelligent planning going on; it’s all about the deal with Ashley. We are the tightest cunts possible in terms of fees and wages when we try and get someone in yet when it’s time to sell we want top dollar. The needs of the squad are completely secondary to making as big a margin as possible on every single transaction we do. Sadly what goes for players goes for the club as a whole too - we’ll only ever get rid if a buyer is willing to pay a massive premium over what we’re actually worth.

The worst thing for me is us fans are letting him get away with it time and time again.

What's the difference? Who the fuck cares about 5M when it's not gonna be used for anything else anyway?
