So a rebound where he gets one hand on it, you can take it off him. But if he’s caught it then has it in one hand - it’s his and would be a foul. BlackandWhite Posted December 7, 2018 Share Posted December 7, 2018 It’s very easy to berate the officials and hammer them for ‘not doing their job’ when we have the luxury of all those replays from many convenient angles. But when you consider how fast things happen on the pitch and how it can be harder to see when in line with the last defend on the side of the pitch it is understandable how the deflection off the hand might have been misjudged as something like a deflection off a shoulder or something. Officials never deliberately get anything wrong, human judgement is just flawed by nature and mistakes happen especially under pressure. It sucks for the team that fall victim to the mistake, but they happen and you’ll just have to accept the referees are humans and won’t get everything right.
