The team in front of him allows him to show a side to the game we haven't seen before.

This is one of our strongest teams we've had in the league imho.

This.

He’s always been pretty good with his feet. Not hard to be an upgrade on Pope in that department, either. The team have been amazing of late along with playing against teams that haven’t had a shot. Which has helped.

I still think he looks a bit unsure whether to stick or twist and not confident with crosses or set pieces at all. Pope is still quite clearly the superior keeper IMO.

All that said. The way the last 5 games have gone. He has been the better option in nets. As we’ve been solid as a unit and he makes us better in possession.

As soon as he's facing shots opinions will quickly turn back to what they were last season as his weak save attempts come back. His feet aren't the issue and it's great how he's being utilised in possession. All in all he's been a decent servant and a top signing on balance over the years given value/worth.

Good with his feet today but he didn't have to make one single save, let's not get carried away.

Hasn’t made a decent save since he was called upon. Still shakey at times too when the ball comes into the area.

Made a big difference with his distribution though, and deserves credit for it.

Goalkeeper high on the list in the summer for me. Pope CL season level but with working legs.

I'm really pleased for him. But, he's had almost fuck all to do. Think I saw a stat that he's made as many saves in these 4 games (4) as he's now got clean sheets (4).

If nothing else it gives Pope more time to recover as he clearly doesn't need to be rushed back in right now. Only takes one loss and a poor Dubravka performance to change the fans tune on him though.

He made a decent save when we were just one up against Ipswich but agree with everything else. I'm glad he is able to contribute to the team and hopefully won't be remembered for just leaving us when we needed him. He was instrumental when we signed him and staying up under Rafa. I remember his debut with fond memories ironically against Man Utd at home making some big saves.

He looks poor due to what’s in front of him. His shot stopping is fantastic and his distribution is great. Honestly think he’d be great for us.

Nah, he looks poor because he is

He does get to face a lot of shots but he constantly gets a lot of the basics of goalkeeping wrong and then he makes regular howlers

Wouldn't take him on a free

Not true, made good saves v Villa (Digne free kick) and Ipswich (Smozidics clean through)

I actually thought the Digne save was a poor one if there's such a thing.  He pushed it straight out into the danger zone.  Pope would have caught that or thrown his cap on it.
