That forum really has weird collective self esteem issues. They always seem to be on the lookout for some new and embarrassing way to try and quantify their worth and work out their identity. Be it desperately trying to make football friends like the div kid that sucks up to the more popular kids at school, or failing that, going into Norman Bates territory and just posing as a football friend, and posting on RTG to give them all a fake pat on the back to make them all feel like they have a place in a world where they're irrelevant. They're not the only ones that are irrelevant, but their outright denial of it seems pretty unique to them and it's a mixture of tragic, borderline disturbing, and fucking hilarious.

Now they're onto latching onto geographical boundaries again, desperately hoping that a new rejig in their minds, along with some creative* revisionism will finally be the extra thing, along with blaming SKY, KK, the North Sea, 1992, Jimmy Hill, Adam Johnson's victim, the Magedia, Durham Mags, the EU, and immigrants, that'll truly make them believe they'd be a juggernaut as a club and as a city, if they hadn't been so unfairly trodden on by a world that hates them for being absolutely, unquestionably wonderful.

What a bunch of gimps.

Some bloke on total sport said SAFCf have always been ahead of NUFC historically. Said something  along the lines of they had been champions of England a couple of times before nufc were even formed. When someone texted in and said ask him who's  ahead in 2018 he said we're disregarding 150 years of history. Without checking, I'm  fairly certain we've won 3 times as many fa cups, won the most derbies, won a European trophy and played 100s of more ties in Europe than them. You also can't  win anything if your club doesn't exist. How desperate are these people?

Tragically outside of our own rivalry and current standings in the game, it’s the equiverlent of an aids and cancer victim bickering over whose condition is the best while the aids and the cancer eats away at them both.

As clubs, forget about cities and past histories, neither are in good health. The future looks bleak for both clubs. At the moment they can at least look up though I suppose, we can only look down.

Sad state of affairs for two clubs with huge fan bases and proud historical histories.

They like their lists of how they’re better than us, things like, ‘first to win 6 derbies in a row, only club to qualify for Europe by winning a trophy’ (why is that a thing?). They can add a few more.

- First to have to close full sections off for league games.

- First to play a Championship team’s U21s in a competitive fixture with their first team squad.

- First to enter the FA Cup while the Metropolitan Police were still in the competition.

Looking forward to the Netflix series. Only 3 weeks away now. Really interested to see how its done as its made by sunderland supporters (right?). No doubt they will try to glorify the town and supporters, but it will be a near impossible task given how their season went and the toxic atmosphere. Wonder if they included that butt-head lookalike who took a shit in their own stadium.

Worked it out a few weeks back, they have 45% of the total transfer spend in League 1 this season versus our 18% in the Championship.

Mentioned this over on RTG and some weirdly started discussing net spend.

That's very weird because they sure as shit didn't make a £40m transfer profit last summer like we did the summer before the championship.
