This is just sad for Messi being surrounded by this joker team

Honestly take Messi out of this side and it's in the worse 5-8 teams on the tournament imo.

That's a bit much imo. They'd still have Aguero, Higuain, and Dybala to replace him.

Their record without him is ridiculously bad

Argentina look good going forwards, they just leave themselves too open to the counter. Rafa would turn these into world cup winners.

Doesnt solve the problem.

This is how Argentina played in pretty much all their qualifiers btw. So uninspiring.

Not sure that's even true, Messi and Aguero have hardly seen the ball.

Aye that's fair. I didn't realize how poor they were throughout qualifying without him.

Without doubt the worst performance I've seen from a team at this tournament relative to the quality of the squad. Have absolutely no idea what Sampaoli is playing at with this system or the way they're trying to play.

Shambolic stuff.

True, they get some good interplays in tight spaces, but the midfield isn't really controlling the game.

Not a clear or obvious error?  See this is where VAR is a joke.

Ref wouldn't have shown the red without VAR either so wouldn't blame the system too much.

That's what VAR's for [emoji38]

 Well, yeah. But it's still humans doing subjective decisions (especially on reds) so it will never be perfect.
