Ki Sung-gone

Recommended Posts

‘South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-yueng will not play in the national team’s upcoming match against Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup due to a hamstring injury, officials here said Tuesday.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said Ki will miss South Korea’s second Group C contest, against Kyrgyzstan, at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, the United Arab Emirates, on Friday because of an injury he sustained during the team’s opening match against the Philippines.

“There’s minor damage to Ki’s right hamstring,” the KFA said. “He needs at least a week for treatment. Our medical team will closely monitor his injury.”

Of course they get knocked out when it doesn't affect when he'll be back, and of course Japan are likely to go and win the whole thing so Muto won't be back for ages.

Fucking ban mid season tournaments, they're so shite.

With Longstaff out, bumping this thread like it's an old-fashioned, swingin' Ki-party.

Let's hope he steps up, like he did briefly before.

At home would have Shelvey or Diame in the team as you already have a defensive player (if he plays) in Hayden. Personally I would have Shelvey and Ki/Diame playing, but doubt that will be the case.

We massively lack creativity in the centre of the park and whichever way you look t it Shelvey is the only one out of the 4 who provides this.
