That run he always makes in behind is far more effective when he can actually do something with it first time on his left.

Lush Vlad
We don’t have much fluidity to our front three usually and don’t tend to have our wide men switch mid-game. Wouldn’t mind seeing it now and then. The attacking players seemed to have a lot of freedom tonight. A lot more interchanging going on down the left than we have seen this season. It helped that Man U were atrocious, of course. Edited November 1, 2023 by Lush Vlad

Guest
Wish he was a few years younger. He's never going to be a world beater but you just feel confident he's going to score 10+ goals a season now.
Smal
how's his finishing so good now Remember how awful it used to be? . You just expect him to score in those situations now.
janpawel
Yeah he seemed much more relaxed on the left hand side, not sure whether it was because dalot was terrible, and Willock was excellent in supporting Looked a lot more free whereas on the right side, he seems intensively focussed and almost restricted to the patterns of play we clearly practice
TRon
Chuffed to see he cut inside Dalot when in on goal instead of going wide, that gave him the shot on goal which he missed last time. Great finish once he was in.

alexf
Love him. Looked every bit a senior player aswell after coming on so early. Put a really good performance in, especially first half. Was surprised to see him on the left for a change but he was very effective in what he did.

Superior Acuña
Those were the most I've celebrated goals watching on tv probably since the semi-final. More than PSG. It was just so unexpected, and I care about winning silverware over anything else. Fist pumping away in my office. Stottie
The one-season wonder, turning into a two-season wonder. That's four goals in just under 11x90 minutes, three of them to open the scoring and only the Sheff Utd goal as a stat booster. A player can only do it for so long before the doubters have to admit they are good at football.

Interestingly Bernardo Silva has played recently on the left and looks even more effective for man city, it hints in a change of football philosophy by pep in terms of whether the inverted winger is required now. Would be delighted to see miggy play there more often

Yeah I seem to remember Perez having his only consistent run of goalscoring for us just before we sold him when Almiron kept getting to byline down the left and cutting it back for him (and Rondon). buzza
Like to see him coming on after 60 mins today, give willock another run out and bring on super press monster miggy for last 30 to maintain the 2-0 lead
