toon25
Robert Snodgrass looks like that weird bloke who stood outside of school selling single tabs.
Andy
Ridiculous that like. "Great decision has been made" - fuck off man. You can't disallow a goal like that because someone's fingernails were longer than someone else's.
Stifler
That isn’t offside. It is, it’s just not clear and obvious.
Conjo
You're either offside or not. Love it that they are so strict when the technology to be so is there.
AsprillasShinPad
Surely the benefit of the doubt has to mean no intervention? Awful decision. Shit like that ruins games.
triggs
f***ing hell, that is not a clear and obvious error. Any offside is clear and obvious. It's not a matter of opinion
ElDiablo
State of that decision.
Guest
f***ing hell, that is not a clear and obvious error. Any offside is clear and obvious. It's not a matter of opinion Needs a change in the offside rule imo rather than that being a VAR issue. If your legs are onside for instance, let it go imo. geordie_b
I refuse to accept that he is offside there, its not the right/correct decision as there is absolutely no way of knowing exactly where to position those lines or the exact time the ball is played. There has to be a margin of error allowed and that margin has to allow goals like that. Another reason im glad that Ive packed in my season ticket
St1pe
That isn’t offside. It is, it’s just not clear and obvious. What part of his body could he have scored with there? That millimetre if shoulder? If this is what’s going to be ruled out the age of players running in behind is over.
AsprillasShinPad
That one wasn't clear and obvious.
Disco
Weird that not only is the goal disallowed but the wait and the way it’s done brings the oppposition crowd back into it too so it’s a double blow.
Stifler
We are now talking about the prospect of wearing a lose fitting top and a bit of wind blown up and it appearing to make someone on/offside with VAR decisions like that now.
ElDiablo
Change the rule. It's not VAR's fault, it's the weird creeps making anal decisions off it.
Andy
You're either offside or not. Love it that they are so strict when the technology to be so is there. There has to be some leeway like. You're taking away the joy of scoring when you have to hold off celebrating just in case your striker's lace came undone and was dangling offside. Fitzgerald
Ruins football VAR. that initial celebration and buzz of a goal has been taken away now as you have to wait and see for VAR. joke
leffe186
You're either offside or not. Love it that they are so strict when the technology to be so is there. Yeah, I can live with offsides being strictly VARed. It’s frustrating, but it’s objective and fair.
St1pe
Agree there needs to be a rule change to reflect the change in technology
taxfree
You're either offside or not. Love it that they are so strict when the technology to be so is there. It's trash. If you have to check it for 30-60 seconds using technology and endless replays, it's not clear enough to get VAR in to the frame. They clearly stated that any situation taken to VAR would be if the ref had make a clear mistake. He didn't here. Awful use of it. Terrible.
Guest
Ruins football VAR. that initial celebration and buzz of a goal has been taken away now as you have to wait and see for VAR. joke On the flip side, the home side are now 0-2 and fans up for it a bit more rather than 0-3 and game over. Ultimately to the letter of the law, the decision was correct. It's the offside law which is bollocks.
Stifler
VAR has quite clearly been brought in for the entertainment value, and not for concerns over getting decision right.

Aye, blaming VAR for imposing the literal rules of the game is ridiculous. Change the rule if it isn't working

How much leeway in nano-meters should we allow? as it looks like it's that level we are disputing. Mental stuff from VAR.
