I got a message at quarter past 9 saying that there would be breaking news tonight at 10:30. The news came from someone who got it off someone at NUST. NUST and NUFC have already agreed to release their statements and both knew about this news breaking before it did and when it would break. There is no way the club would know that the news would break if they weren’t in on it. What the fucking NUST are doing though is anyone’s guess. Apparently recently NUST has had face to face meetings with NUFC. Just what the fuck they are doing is probably the biggest question here. Looking increasingly more likely that they are far too pally with NUFC then they should be. This point is apt. I've been saying for ages now that fans groups etc need to take the lead on principle, do what's right and stop helping to give legitimacy to Ashley's running of the club. I would be surprised if there wasnt good will from most considering his playing days and the good things he did do ar the club. People do more easily remember what was the most recent and also go to the negatives. Plenty turned on him because he probably should have resigned earlier and same type of post match drivel that pisses fans off when teams are on shit runs. He wasnt going to resign from what was a dream job and he obviously believed in himself past the point of reality. Dont blame him for then end of his spell also remembering he also negotiated us through some shit times too. Should never have been in the position he was put in though.
