AyeDubbleYoo
Tbf that's only due to the position we're in, in terms of being a one-club city, the ability to bring in huge gates etc. It feels pretty harsh saying that when there's clubs that have genuinely gone under and they have no way of getting back to where they were. I don't really think so. Is having your club infested by a parasite and stolen from you better or worse than going bust and starting again from scratch? I'd say it's clearly worse. Nobody
So why has Ashley taken out a loan secured against the rest of this and next seasons TV money? Where's that from?

TRon
Sunderland might be in the third division but at least they will have a future to look forward to now. Seems a dive to the bottom is the only way to get shot of leeching fat bastard owners. Brucey might be the man.
jackyboy
Whatever Ashley does it is guaranteed that it won't have been done for the benefit of NUFC. No need to try and look deeper into reasons why

Guest chopey
Sports Direct and Newcastle United are basically just the same company now and Ashley will never let go, to pay towards and support this shambles is criminal.
Guest Howaythetoon
So why has Ashley taken out a loan secured against the rest of this and next seasons TV money? Where's that from? Makes a change him lending his ‘own’ money to the club from his own credit facility, money that wasn’t exactly transferred directly to the club itself but still ended up being transferred out of the club and to Ashley... Guest Howaythetoon
Money that won't exist next season after we're relegated Perfect excuse for him to lend the club some more of his own money again... Couldn’t make this shit up

Interpolic
Could it be to pay for Joelinton? Impossible as Mike is paying for that himself, he said so in that interview. Seriously we've got £180m a year coming in, our wage bill must be significantly less than half of that and we never spend owt on transfers. £30m net spend this summer and we're having to get loans out? It is dodgy as f***, man.
LV
It’s completely dodgy. Hopefully it’ll all get revealed and he’ll face a shitstorm. Unlikely though.

Sadly unless it’s obviously illegal nowt will come out from it all that will see the bastard gets taken down. The whole loaning his personal money to the club and then claiming it back thing is and always was dodgy as fuck and complete and utter false. He’s making sure whatever money he paid to buy the club which really did come out of his own pockets, the club pays him it all back. When that happens, that’s when he will sell up. Or he could just keep it as his personal cash cow forever...

AyeDubbleYoo
That little bit of quality up top has definitely helped us. We’ve scored 4 goals in 5 matches. The stuff in the Chronicle is like a feed from an alternate universe.
Yorkie
We've thrown away, what was it, 24 goals last season in Rondon and Perez? There's something like £75million combined investment in Almiron, Joelinton, ASM and Carroll. Let's see how many they get between them. I wonder what odds I could get on Gayle top scorer.
