I can live with not caring. What I can't be fucked with is hating. Similarly, I cannot be remotely fucked with any more illusions of hope.

On that basis, Bruce will do fine.

And cue the start of people talking themselves into giving the club another chance:

“He’s one of us”

“He cares about the club”

“Always supported us as a kid”

“The passion will be back”

“I feel a bit sorry for Ashley, he’s trying”

“I’ll be there cheering the lads on again this season”

Bruce or Fat Sam, who would you pick?

A thousand times Bruce, both because I hate him less than Allardyce and because he’s got less chance of keeping them up.

Much easier to switch off from Bruce than the raw hatred of fat head. Or fatter head.

It really doesn´t get any lower than this... does it?

Turned down by Fat sam (anything more humiliating?), only to decide that a plastic manager with his only redeeming factor being that he "supported Newcastle as a kid" and who has been quoted "I don´t believe in tactics" is nº1 to replace our ex-world class manager.

I wish I had a season ticket... only to rip the fuc**** thing to shreds and set fire to the remains.

You forget about what a profound legacy Pardew left behind. Obviously Ashley has never had the interests of the club at heart, but Pardew solidified the never-try policy on account of his ineptitude. I really wonder how different things would have been if, say, we'd picked up another five points in the 2012/13 season. Pardew would have still been reviled, of course, and the chain of events which led to Rafa would have still happened. Only, without the board's fear of fighting for the European positions, the great man might have been allowed more freedom.

Urgh. Mehhhh.

Pleeaaassse Ashley - bring back footballs Fred Astaire - it would make it so bizarre and "fun" to follow the regime burn to the ground!

From the ashes and when Ashley sells up for a penny - then we can again build something beautiful  :smitten:

The Times are reporting £5 million now for Bruce, I think its time for Pardew to put his cards down, walk out of the Casino and come and finish the job he started, it would be almost poetic.
