I see zero answers in regards to the questions we were asking about the midfield over a year ago, a huge reluctance to pick teams based on home / away and opposition a la Rafa, one dimensional game plans and players clearly not buying in to the approach. Ball watching at stoppage time vs Palace, cheaply gave the ball away vs Liverpool (though the idea was good), and today fell asleep when defending set piece. Said it in the pre-match thread, that if we are going to rest players, he should have been considered first considering he's played every game and has cost us late goals in both previous games. Yeah have to say, I've noticed too when you see replays back of goals it's often Big Joe is at fault recently. Also don't like him in midfield. He's too awkward and gets dispossessed on the ball quite often when they swarm around him. He's alot more useful as a wide player when we need that extra defensive cover for Hall. No, I just mean his lack of physicality in duels etc., which is usually his whole game. Won 4/12 duels today and 6/18 (0/10 ground duels) against Palace.
