Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

Bruce has to take full responsibility for bringing him here.

Bruce had no control over the transfer. That miss in the first half when he passed it wide of the post was woeful, time, space, loads of goal to place it into, 12 yards out and you can see it’s missing as soon as he hits it.

We’ve ruined him but it’s also clear that he’s not mentally capable of turning this around. Unfortunately, we’ll still have to play.

Tommasson mk2, thauvin mk2, Cabella mk2,etc. Just another foreign player who can’t cut it in the big league. Like someone said before he’ll end up in turkey or Russia.

each of those players were an exciting signing. we could see that the fees looked to be justified, and there had been other clubs interested. just didnt work out.

not a single person could understand why we were paying £40m for a non-goalscoring striker who'd never played for his country, never won owt and who no one else in the world was interested in.

I have always thought no player up front can ever be worse than Frank Pingel. Certainly Joel offers less than Frank, and at least Frank tried.

Would Joelinton have been here if Rafa stayed? Clearly no as Rafa has already said this.

Bruce was brought in specifically to rubber stamp these deals. He walked out on Shef Wednesday so he could do it.

If he had nowt to do with the deal then he can simply say so, but in fact he has publicly backed it.

bruce needs to do something about this now, whatever you think of joelinton just plodding on the way they have is clearly not going to work and nothing is going to change either

either do something different in training, or drop him and send him away for a couple of weeks to see if he comes back refreshed or something...just do anything, something

The only thing he'll do is blame the striker for missing chances. Brummie said that was his style at Villa. Always the players fault when they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing.

I mean I agree but a striker SHOULD know how to shoot

It’s well known that Rafa didn’t think he was worth £40M, don’t think Bruce does either but Joelinton was being signed no matter who came in. It’s a baffling transfer and would be worth looking in to.

Would be great if a local journo did some real investigative work into it....

Ah wait

Anyone who signs up to having players like Joelinton bought for him has to take full responsibility.

Bruce is no one's puppet though, remember. If he didn't want to sign this big fucking lummox then he'd have definitely stood up to Lee and Mike and dug his heels in.

But he didn't. He went along with it because he's as complicit in this as the pair of them. This is the exact reason they paid to get his from Sheff Wed. He's Bruce's boy. His £40m number 9. Can't run with the foxes and hunt with the hounds.

Absolutely pickler for his mates in the press.

They’ll be gasping to not blame him for the signing but if doing so they calling him a willing patsy which they’ve all said he isn’t. Lovely stuff.

Might have to eat some humble pie KaKa[/member]

Eh?

Nah, you're alright. That would be UncleBingo

I got slaughtered for saying this about Mitrovic after one game, but I'm mighty sceptical that Joeshinton will ever be a £40M footballer.

Indeed.

So who will Bruce start in the next game? I'm assuming big Andy is crocked at the moment, would be difficult to see the ball sticking with Gayle or Muto up front as lone strikers.

At this point someone will no doubt pipe up that it doesn't stick with Joelinton either, but sometimes it does.
