Disco
Just now, et tu brute said: Well maybe the reason he is looking like timid Joe. Not making any tackles and just sitting of the Argentina midfield. Touched the ball about ten times and mostly just made 10 yard passes. Surely this has to be the manager's tactics, as that is not his game at all. The Brazil manager has got to be under pressure, as I can't remember a worse Brazilian team than this one over the last two years. Aye they’ve absolutely been honking. All over the place at the back. They’ll end up getting a man sent off n all if Argentina keep prodding at them n all.

Nucasol
Battering and a half there for Brazil. Good job this World Cup has so many teams in as historically they’d be looking over their shoulders. Instead they’ve got quite a big cushion just to Venezuela in the 7th place intercontinental playoff spot.
Sibierski
Love Joe, but a midfield three of him, Cunha and Andre is so laughably average,

Turnbull2000
He'll struggle to get recalled again after last night, surely. As mediocre the rest were, Joe seems to struggle every time he gets an opportunity. Edited March 26 by Turnbull2000
Fenham Mag
The problem players like Joelinton and Murillo will have is that they never had proper gametime in Brazil so the Brazilian people assume they are frauds. FFS, I see them saying Andre is a better player than big Joe, he's been rubbish for Wolves but he built a reputation with Fluminense. Brazil's manager is an idiot too, playing Joe in a pivot ffs. janpawel
Think he's at his best specifically how we play him, higher up the pitch and not involved in build up, combative and disruptive, a target man for long balls and able to rotate/support the LW, and able to use his athleticism to join the back 4 when needed Don't see him being able to 'run the midfield' like Brazil probably wanted him to by seeing the line up

nufc123 Posted Sunday at 17:51 Share Posted Sunday at 17:51 (edited) Just take it in the Brentford game. Should have enough against Leicester anyway, then Palace. Wrong it will be Manu. Ignore this post Edited Sunday at 17:52 by nufc123

Kanj Posted yesterday at 10:00 Share Posted yesterday at 10:00 Brazilian footie could use a proper manager for the national setup. Scaloni has Argentina playing very well - Brazil seems still very much a “let’s give the ball to Vini and see what he can do” and prior to that it was Neymar, etc.
NG32 Posted yesterday at 10:09 Share Posted yesterday at 10:09 Proper chuffed for big Joe, what a journey he has been on, look at him now.
Groundhog63 Posted yesterday at 11:48 Share Posted yesterday at 11:48 That brand video, the 2 lads having question banter with Bruno and Gordon? "Who's the angriest in the dressing room after a defeat?" iirc Both have a think about it and comeback with Joelinton "He's even angry when we win" Bruno 😂😂😂😂

Joelinton is a very effective PL midfielder, but that's because of the pace of English football, and also how we set up right across the pitch. It's not going to work if a manager doesn't know how his team is supposed to play as a unit. I've barely watched a Brazil game outside of the world cup, but what is the manager trying to do exactly?
