Doesn’t mean he isn’t, but that wasn’t a great showing. yep, he's put in a couple of average performances of late that somehow go unrecognised here, someone was calling him a legend first half that raised a titter here

gbandit
I think tonight is a perfect example of his limitations, a quality player on the ball would have released a winger in behind on about three occasions. Instead, Jow overhit the ball every time. It’s just not his game and he will be important for us this season but I’m reaching the point where I prefer a player who offers less defensively than Jow but more offensively, ie Ramsey

Keggy_Keagal
Whenever we get beat and Bruno or Joelinton haven't been 9 or 10/10 out comes the criticism. They both did fine. Tonali seems to almost never be criticised and he might well have closed down Rashford quicker for his second.

El Prontonise
I don't think he's 100% fit based on this game and the wolves game.
Sibierski
Joelinton biggest issue for me was in first half we popped the ball through midfield and it ended with Joelinton as their defence pressed high on half way line, Gordon / Barnes / Elanga all in stance ready to run through and Joelinton just fucked it. Had the space and he killed the attack. Stuff that won’t come up on no data thing, but a player with better quality on ball and that vision, plays a ball into 30 yards of space and we potentially have a very high xg chance. Kimbo
Ramsey isn’t the answer either IMO. We need a midfield goalscorer that can also pick a pass, as well as being athletic enough to play in a Howe team. Midfield needs to be the next area we go big on and get someone that’s at the level of Tonali and Bruno. That said, Ramsey wasn’t exactly cheap. We didn't have funds to go big Isak money came too late and we were already scrambling.

AyeDubbleYoo
There’s no one answer but Ramsey is a very dynamic and dangerous player and likes to play between those lines where we currently don’t really have anyone. FWIW I think Willock has been better the last couple of appearances.

I do think we’re one more major Joelinton injury away from him being sent to Old Yeller’s Saudi Farm. If Atalanta are out the CL and not tearing up trees in Serie A, I’d be looking to buy and transition this lad in for the rest of the season.
Lotus
Think we’ve missed the boat on Ederson. Too many clubs got their eye on him. We need to get the next iteration.

KDT
Ederson isn’t going to help with goals or assists though. Given than neither Bruno or Tonali are particularly prolific with those either it’s probably a more attacking option that they would look at if Joelinton did leave. I think hoping for 5-7 league goals from each of the CMs is a fair target, given the wingers should be getting about 10 each. Merino probably skews the numbers last season by playing up front a bit, but can't think of many Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal midfielders with many more than 7-8? Prolific was probably the wrong word. I think they’ve realised that they need someone who’s likely to provide goals and assist (basically a more attacking option) like Ramsey. It’s too reliant on the wide players & also probably why they’ve brought in Woltemade as well given his link up ability with the midfield.
