Memphis
Personally I still think we need at least 20 more pages of debate about ASM vs Barnes. We haven't solved it yet but I bet we all agree by page 430.

The ASM in the Man City game could play for any team in the fucking world. Unfortunately that game was about as often as ASM getting destroyed by lamptey and being subbed before half time. Barnes is far more suited to the football that we play, and will elevate the entire team. What's ya point

Dr Jinx
I suspect the fee will be higher. They’ll announce it as an undisclosed sum along with a few other departures and this will muddy the waters in terms of FFP.
The Butcher
Wanted him to stay, but I think it's been clear for quite some time that he's not the future here. 35m, if that's the fee, is an okay deal. Thank you for your service and we move on.
BGRM
Just realised Al-Ahli is the same team Mahrez, Firmino and Mendy now play for (I’m behind with transfers to Saudi). I wish ASM luck anyway, he entertained us and was a light in the darkness of our last regime. His departure seemed inevitable really. I would hope we get 30+ million quid for him. Quite a lot of them are a lot older than you think, Al Alhai was formed in 1937, Al Ittihad 1929. There’s been a league there since about 1950 it’s just been that there’s been little interest in it outside country.

Absolutely not bothered by this move in comparrison Oh my god nah, Football died the day Benny was in the van on the way to Hull and Bruce. But ASM was cut from a similar cloth of lesser quality and his leaving the team robs it of excitement. I know he wasn't the most efficient player, or even the healthiest, but he's the type of player I watch football for.
Skeletor
HBA played for both Pardew and Bruce. That's depressing.

That excites me more than in a long time. New recruits are just gonna raise that. Even my lady who doesn’t like football watches the games with me now, and while I’m at work she’s watching at home. Cannot wait for the coming season. Well excited! Onwards and upwards HTL

Maybe it's residual Pardew trauma? All we ever had were mavericks. All we could ever hope for was a bit of magic. Maybe I'm set in my ways because that's the only NUFC I've ever known. Probably Man Utd. One of the most supported and successful clubs in the League - historically- but have had a rough time of it lately, getting relegated in the 21-22 season. Pretty sure they’ve won promotion to top league for the next season though. Fierce rivals to my team Al-Ittihad. Super Duper Branko Strupar
Would loved to have seen him challenging for a Serie A title and playing in the CL, if the Napoli interest was indeed solid. Feel a little disappointed Im never going to see him play again.
