Loads of these players who reply on explosive pace end up like it if they aren’t managed properly when they are in their late teens. The really great strikers adapt to naturally slowing down as they get older. I'm surprised by Vardy's career. Thought he'd missed a load of games in the last 3 years, but he's contributed [maybe as sub, but still not injured per se] in just about every league game before last year. Complete contrast to Owen, really.
Guest reefatoon
As good and likeable as he is, he just can't be relied upon to be your main striker. He will have to realise that himself too as his massive amount of injuries just don't let him play anywhere near enough.

Guest
3-4 weeks normally turn out to 7-8 weeks for him. Shame.
Guest dazzanufc1892
Said to friends all summer that this bloke can't be relied on sadly and a striker should have been a priority. Luckily Isak can fill in this role for us. Its a bit like having Bellamy back but this time Wilson is the main man, not a secondary striker. He will be good to have as a bench player and a very reliable understudy, however, I think we now need to consider that he is a squad player with greatt ability, rather than a first team regular who leads the club

Guest
That's just how it feels by the way, I've totally made that up. Just don't remember him having just the odd couple of weeks here and there.
Ben
That's his world cup chance gone, Kane, Toney, Abraham and Rashford will probably be the four Southgate will take now.
The Butcher
Super sub from now on and in.

Tiresias
Hmm first choice I reckon may still be Wilson with Isak on the right. Plays that, hardly hurts Salah's scoring.
Kid Icarus
He's a glass hammer, it's a proper shame for everyone.
Stottie
It's a real shame for him, and I hope it is 3-4 weeks. The hamstring injury he had early last season was six weeks = four games. The longer injury after Howe came in was a calf tear.
Likelylad
Love Wilson but there’s absolutely no way he’s got a World Cup schedule in him. I do how we keep him going forward for squad depth. Him occasionally coming off the bench and chipping in might help reduce the constant injuries.

timeEd32
Even in the absolute best case scenario I can't imagine he'll be back before Fulham away on Oct. 1. There would be no sense in racing him back right before a break.

Bimpy474
Love him, best striker we've had in yonks. Unfortunately he's made of lettuce, it's such a shame as he's so good.
Skeletor
It is weird how some players get injured all the time without anything fundamentally wrong with them, but someone like Demba Ba supposedly has a ticking time bomb in his knee and never got injured.
