Perhaps the reality is that ManU lost narrowly to a good side and that the match really doesn’t say much at all beyond that.

Despite the heavy spending at the top, the gulf between the “big clubs” and most others in the league (not us, we’re comically shit) isn’t so great that these kinds of wins should be shocking to anyone.

A-fucking-men.

ManU 0-1 Villa

ManC 0-0 Soton

Palace 3-0 Spurs

Soton 1-1 ManU

Brentford 2-0 Arsenal

Already this season. Supposed upsets against the so-called big six.

OGS is and always has been out of his depth.  Man Utd fans just blinkered cos they like him as a person.

Nothing to do with being blinkered. Ole has done a good job until this point and we have improved every season.

Nobody is naive enough to think we would be happy with top 4 qualification every year, but we were happy to allow a club legend time to transition the club from the mess it has been the last few years. It's not all about trophies. Ole has laid a foundation and we have a team capable of challenging now and it would appear he may crack under the pressure of having to deliver this season. There's still plenty of time though, and most fans will afford him that time.

The minimum requirement this season is a title challenge though. Always has been. We have a tough run of games coming and if we start losing a few of them he will likely be shown the door and nobody will argue. On the flip side if we win a few of them against top opposition we will be at or near the top of the table and it's smiles all around.

It's a very important two months coming up.

who dropped one point against a decent Southampton side.

They weren't a decent Southampton side when we're drew with them but they magically are now when City do...

Villa are much, much better than Southampton, and what Yorkie has posted is true.
