Joelinton is a big lump who is far too slow in possession.

Almiron has very poor technique.

The Longstaffs are not physically up to the challenge.

Matty has been fine

Yedlin is terrible at nearly everything he does.

Ritchie is slow and can't defend.

Disagree with most of both these posts tbh, atleast based on this game.

Yedlin has been playing and defending really well, admittedly not great when going forward.

Ritchie has been fine enough and defended well.

Almiron has privitol to anything attacking we've done, and has passed the ball really well.

Matty has also played the ball around well in the centre of the park.

I've been quite impressed by Matty Longstaff's pressing of the ball tbh. I also like Almiron and Joelinton's work on the ball, just not so much their finishing touch.

How? We've not been class by any means, but to say everyone has been awful in this game is just pure bullshit.

No way this has only been on for 45 minutes.

It's been terrible as a spectacle.  Hardly any shots on goal.

Commentator on five live (Stephen warnock I think) is obsessively trying to convince listeners that this is the Newcastle fans have been wanting and Steve Bruce’s “months of hard work” on the training pitch is starting to show. He thinks we’ve been absolutely fantastic

Hinchliffe is so bad. Loves pointing out the obvious and then some nonsense technical ability after it

"Albrighton's got to beat the first man there, he should be whipping the ball around the defender with backspin so Vardy can score"
