Such an annoying footballer.  Has some really unique talents and he will often do a lot of things right.  Followed by fucking up the simplest pass, touch, shot etc.  A couple of times yesterday he did one of his trademark runs, where he drags us 40-50 yards up the pitch with ease.  Only to then fuck it all up and lose it under no real pressure.

It's a shame all of the injuries have seemingly fucked him.  As he should be someone that is pushing to start every week.  But now he just feels positionless and a waste of a shirt.  Which actually saddens me a bit.  As I was part of the Willock fan club for a long while.

Hopefully he can make some meaningful contributions this season.  As we'll be needing to use the squad if we go well in a couple of the cup competitions.

His injuries and stop-startness in and out the team since Brighton at home in 2022-23 has totally hampered him as a player. Been a proper shame as he was brilliant that season and I’ve been a fan of his but the fact of the matter is he has offered next to nothing since that season.

I think we're in the difficult position with a couple of players whereby, much like Sean Longstaff, they are better (get better) with a decent run in the team. The difficult bit being we can't really afford to let them get there.

Obvs, the top teams just take another bespoke player off the bench and crack on.

You can see, however, next level players can get up to speed more quickly. Hall being a case in point.

Willock is still relatively young, if he's not playing regularly for us, there should be PL teams lining up to take him off us at around £20m. An attacking midfielder with his assets should command that easily.

That there was not really much interest tells you a lot. His injury record is poor, and when he is fit, he is underperforming. If he's not good enough for a lower midtable PL side, then he's not good enough for us any more. Hopefully he'll stay fit until January and we can sell him and replace with another young hopeful who has a higher ceiling.

Interesting about the fines for being late etc, because he does not look like he cares at all. Body language is shocking, if he's been like that, surely the thing to do was move him for whatever and sign a youngster from abroad. Because Willock offers nothing but a slappable face.

There's a line from a film, for those of a certain vintage, that goes "Don't fuck with the Wongs"

But that is wank patter
