In those interviews where the players name a teammate, his name normally crops up when it is to do with racking up the most fines. Making assumptions I know but that can't be a postive and he appears to be our 6th choice midfielder if everyone is fit these days.

Hard to tell at this point. Ramsey is a superior footballer based on the last 2 seasons but we cannot also discount that Willock was very good for us at one point.

Howe will give him every chance to step it up but then if he doesn’t the writing is on the wall.

The current Ramsey injury was a bad tackle? So can’t really blame him for that.. and maybe in previous seasons he’d already be returned but the current medical team seem far more cautious.

Yep, I agree with all of that.

I don’t see him being here beyond this season but then I imagine there might be a fair few changes again next summer.

Who else do you think may be off next summer? We have some aging players but a lot already have replacements. I’d be surprised if we were to sell Joelinton even though I think the argument to sell is becoming more convincing. GK still needs figuring out for sure. Hard to imagine both Barnes and Gordon being here after next summer’s window

If the right forward became available then I could see us flipping Wissa, similar to Wood, at a loss to secure that position longterm. All depends if we identify any young forwards next summer or summer of 2027.

Agree on Barnes and yes always feel there’s a possibility Gordon could go. I think there’ll potentially be changes at gk position, the midfield could evolve again so there’s a chance Joelinton gets moved on. I’m not saying I want him to go but feel we might look for more quality in the ball. I still think we’re vulnerable to offers for Tonali with our wage structure limitations (not that I think he’d force a move like Isak)

surprised nobody has mentioned him walking off the pitch after USG without clapping the fans or congratulating any of his team mates.

also, who in their right mind would buy him now? he hasn't had a good game in years, and his attitude absolutely stinks. a Championship club probably would but his ego wouldn't allow him to make that move.

Is that right? Wasn’t there an incident where Trippier tried to get him to go over to the fans v Leeds but he couldn’t be arsed?

Maybe he’s read the lack of support for him with what seems the majority on here [emoji38]

Do find it a bit of a cheek to criticise him not engaging with the fans currently when the very same want to see him sold thinking he’s crap. Maybe he just needs a bit of love…

 give over

maybe he's just a lazy cunt who thrived under a slug of a manager like Bruce, and can't be arsed to train properly and apply himself. which Howe and his teammates allude to pretty much every time he name gets brought up.

also, not that bothered about engaging with the fans, but not supporting your team mates is shocking.

Howe always refers to this whenever he gets asked a question about competition for places, etc. Train well, take opportunities, support those ahead of you.

A wee bit respect for a Newcastle United trophy winner, plz.

His time might be coming to an end here, but he can leave with his head held high. IMO.

Eh? He's been out of form for almost 2 years

The 22-23 season was special and he was an important part of our success in qualifying for CL. So hopefully he turns things around and proves all the doubters wrong

hope so Ken!

soon as he's out of bed in an hour he is getting straight to work

As long as he doesn't get injured again I'd say there's good chances one of the relegation threatned teams in January might be willing to take a punt on him, hoping to get the Bruce era Willock for the price of a post-Benitez Longstaff.
