This season will be grim, and there are plenty of terrible teams this season.  The gap between the top six and the bottom six has never been larger.  I think 17th place will end up with a very low points total.

We are going to massively struggle - the feeling about the club is still very 2009, but there is a decent chance that at least three clubs will have a bigger nightmare than us.

As we have Rafa - I have us as 50/50 to go down, so a 5.

If Rafa goes before January - 9.

More than five. Think we're a good bet to go down, it's just got that feeling about it.

One of half a dozen teams who could join Cardiff and Huddersfield. I still think we'll be fine and above the likes of Burnley & Brighton come the end of the season.

Less worried than I was last season. Our defending remains very good and so now it's something that we can stop worrying about so much. Providing Lascelles and Shelvey stay fit I think we'll be fine. There are enough rubbish teams this year compared to last.

Aye. The problem is our transition, and even in the rare occasions we do make it forward on a break with some neat passing moves we make the wrong decision in the final third.

Totally agree, but it takes doing it regularly to keep it going and we've just come off the back of 5 matches where we were never going to have much of the ball. If it gets to a couple more winnable matches down the line where we're doing nothing whatsoever when we have the ball, I'll worry then.

Still at a 7 we have nothing as a team can't score can't create can't take a ga me to the opposition. We approach every game like we are a lower league team

Like we are? This is predominantly a lower league team squad.

 Totally agree. Think a few of us are forgetting the bold there as well.

Context is key. We've just come off a horrific run and confidence is low. As a quite untalented squad that lack individuals to pull it out of the bag, we need to be tightly managed to get us going.

We played some good stuff last year in patches creating a decent amount, when confident, and we have better available forward options in attack now than last season, imo. I'm sure we'll see that as we finally can get a run in for our new players now, barring injuries.

By christ, it's felt a slog.

I still think we'll be okay, once we get a win under our belt it will help. It's going to be grim to watch though, unless some of the new signings like Muto and Rondon start making more of an impact.

They need time and a run of games. Player patience seems exceptionally low this year, especially odd when we know the context of the summer and lack of time players have had on the pitch together.
