Has strong connection to the area and has quite specific family reasons why he's stayed local (and why he's spurned previous opportunities elsewhere). The reasons his family need to stay local haven't changed, so if he was to accept a job elsewhere the family would have to have found a workaround for them. He does spend a tonne of time away travelling so, in that respect, if West Ham were to give him a hybrid role, I dare say it wouldn't be that much different.
