Can I be the first bellend to say "whataboutery", since that is the get out clause for all arguments in this thread?

Idk why you seem to feel so persecuted over this

A lot of balls on those Crystal Palace fans to criticize us considering that a minority owner of them is working for Blackstone, and that company has taken money from Saudi-Arabia

Got absolutely nothing to do with their club, or football at all for that matter, but still,  A LOT OF BALLS!

Well, as we seen with us, I guess a lot of them would be on twitter trying to find a way to explain why it's actually good to be owned by Saudi-Arabia, and that Saudi-Arabia isn't really that bad of a state anyway. Oh and they would also be pointing out that Saudi-Arabia also has a small ownership in several other companies as well, so it's all just hypocrisy and envy from other fans.

And we all know this is absolutely what would happen, and so I don't really understand why other fans all pretend it isn't. So strange.

I'm not bothered at all, we just need to put it all into perspective, for instance when it comes to human rights abuse issues, Germany makes Saudi Arabia look like the Salvation Army, in the second world war they murdered six million men, women and children, yet they have a well respected national team, and Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Teuchel have the temerity, to shake their heads in shame at us. And as for Jamal Khashoggi being murdered by the order of the Saudi royal family, terrible as it was, we must also remember Pat Finucan, he was a Sinn Fein later who was an expert at getting IRA terrorists off the hook so Maggie authorised the British Army, who enlisted the help of a Loyalist Paramilitary group to assassinate him. Then there was the 5 members of an IRA cell who had planned to kill British Soldiers on Gibraltar, all 5 mown down without weapons in their hands. And as for the surviving terrorists in the Iranian embassy siege? There'll be no survivors said maggie.

I rest my case
