I don't see why it would.

Get well soon Eddie!

It can, depending on severity of it and if he's got anything pre existing.

He should be fine as he's in hospital.

Right, and as a former footballer and someone who seems in pretty good shape he should 100% recover one would suspect.

Hopefully big Lascelles will be on the bench to deal with any shenanigans

Glad it's not anything more serious (not that pneumonia isn't very serious, it can be and is) - hope he gets better soon, he's leaving the team in good hands.

It’s definitely a relief but it can be tough to shift Pneumonia, people can have recurrent spells but I imagine Eddie looks after himself better than most. Hope he gives himself a proper holiday over the summer

First thought that went through my head. At least it wasn't earlier in the season or I could imagine him being the type to force himself back at the first opportunity even if not 100% and never giving himself a proper break to recover.

Fingers crossed Tindall and the team can deliver another 6 points and a cushion from the chasing pack so he doesn't feel under pressure to return any sooner than he should.

I heard that anyone speculating about the man's health on a public forum is a meganonce, can't reveal my source though

Is a meganonce above, or below the scale compared to a roller nonce?

Just echoing other comments. Glad it looks like he'll get over it, but hope he'll take as long as necessary to sort himself.

Fortunately, I'd say we're in about as good a position as possible to let him do that. Strong, well managed backroom staff that he's spent years training. Self governing squad thanks to excellent characters like Burn, Trippier, Bruno and Lascelles. And near the end of an already successful season where so much of the preparatory physical and tactical work has already been done.

Hope you're feeling better soon Eddie.

The best leaders can be identified by how things run in their absence. You just know there'll be a meticulous plan and rhythm in place that Tindall and Jones can pick up and execute.

Not sure of the exact tiers but I believe all rollernonces are meganonces but not all meganonces are rollernonces. Hope that helps.

I’ve had pneumonia before, and even though I have a heart condition which can magnify it, it’s not a trivial condition.

Honestly before I was admitted to hospital, I was contemplating ending it. I was told that it was a virus, which it was which got worse, and that my body would fight it. I went around in circles of having migraines (and I suffered from migraines that hospitalised me as a kid), feeling sick, no energy, hot, cold, fine, over and over. Each time it got worse as the cycle went around.

I was eventually admitted to hospital and put on antibiotics. I’m not kidding you, within an hour I felt so much better.

All in all though I was in hospital for a week. And as much as antibiotics starts to make it go away, I’m not kidding you the recovery process was long.

After a few days you begin to take deeper breaths, and it’s just so refreshing, and you feel like you have been struggling for ages. It’s literally like a weight comes off your chest.

You still have no energy though, the feeling better factor gives you false sense of capabilities. You don’t have the energy to get up out of bed. You can’t do lots of little things.

After I came out of hospital, I couldn’t get to my front gate without being knackered. Your lungs are still recovering and you have constant coughing and wheezing fits.

After 2 weeks I begged work to let me go back, and I’m so pleased they told me that I had to take my full month off, because when I came back, I was still knackered just walking about without any pace.

It literally takes months for you to start to be normal again.

As an adult, it was the worst illness that I have ever had. Unless you actually experience it, you don’t know how severe it is. It’s not just a simple chest infection, it’s fucking awful. The guy next to me died one night because of it. Other people in the hospital who are otherwise well and active all hospitalised and sat in bed from it.

That sounds horrific, I imagine it's the mental impact as much as anything.  I am very active and if I was me, I would be unbearable to be around if I couldn't exercise
