It was a good feeling on Saturday watching Pep after the game. I think we sometimes get these histrionics from managers of top teams when we beat them. Despite Pep having a greatly superior squad, Eddie got his tactics spot on and gave his team the best possible chance of winning. Pep found that difficult to handle.

Despite having twice as much possession and nearly twice as many shots, Man City had fewer shots on target and a lower xG rating. The result was no fluke.

Eddie is great and we are very, very lucky to have him.

There are many areas where he's up there as the best in class when compared with any of our previous PL managers. Not that there's many previous managers to compare him against in regards to squad management in Europe, but if he could develop this a bit better I wouldn't have any real complaints at all (lack of a 6 in our standard formation is a gripe but I can live with it). Fact remains if you wanted to twist on Howe, there's probably less managers than you could count on one hand that would be better than him when you weigh up all pros and cons. And would there be anyone you would trust to be here for the long haul, to build the culture and identity of the club rather than sacrificing everything for the short-term ? Maybe only Pep? But I don't see Pep building another dynasty anywhere now.

I'm hoping he stays for the long term and is given the chance to build the dynasty.

Shite like “The next game is the REAL test” after a win was all the rage a year ago until he kept winning and those people desperately wanting to be right fucked off. Same again please, Eddie.

I don't think thats fair.

Most of the criticism/scepticism has always been towards the performances against average PL teams, especially away. We have always been able to put out a performance against the big teams at home.

I am an optimist atm and I'm thinking/hoping that getting our FBs back will be transformational, but if we get another stinker against Everton I'm not sure how long that will last.

That's not always been the criticism like, it shifts quite regularly.

Well I said most, which I think it is. Atleast from my side. Well that and being consistent.

And It's annoying like hell, but I feel like I have to say this in order not to be misunderstood here.

Just because I'm sceptical at times doesn't mean that I want him out or that I don't appreciate the job he has done here, which for the record has been fantastic when taking into account his whole time here.

Might as well put neave upfront. Can't be any worse than gordon. Least it'll help bring him on a bit. Same with Murphy at lb. Needs to start playing players who train for the position, not the perceived quality.

Every fucking time he played Gordon upfront this season it ended up being a terrible decision yet again this weird fantasy he has with Gordon being a striker who can run behind players and score dosn't stop.

Woltemade has played almost every match and we can’t risk burnt out or injury with him as we’d be royally screwed. Osula is out injured and Wissa hasn’t kicked a ball yet. What other options did he have?
