Eddie's biggest challenge now is himself. He's stagnated and needs to address that. I think he'll fix it, and we'll have that seasonal winning run, but it needs to happen soon. We are without a doubt the most predictable team in the league. Even how our games unfold has become predicable. This is the stagnation of Howe. And he has to fix it.

And to think he's untouchable is unrealistic. He's had a massive amount of money, and successful businesses don't dwell on the past. Even an exceptional one.

Best manager in my time. But he's not bullet proof.

Abuse of power  fuck off man. Who's being a snowflake now?

I didn't say once "he should go". You should improve your reading comprehension before you go on the attack.

Nothing about your post or subsequent posts have been nuanced.

Pretending everything is rosey this season is absolutely mental, there are clearly major issues with our performances.

No you’re right, nearly typed mein reich fuhrer, but that would have been rude. I don’t mean to infer you have that mentality, but to be fair it would have been no ruder than the ‘Who the fuck are you?’ reply you initially gave me.
So maybe because we are all disappointed with a loss to the unwashed, and a few late disappointments in games (like those  in the Champions League we qualified for last season or against the reigning League champions) and missing the chance to go to the right end of the table—the know the one we’re we have pretty much consistently been under Howe—let’s imagine he has lost the dressing room and consider sacking him. Apologies, but I can’t seriously entertain that kind or reasoning without the odd expletive or sarcastic comment creeping in.

how I feel. But I think he is still more than capable, and is still evolving as a coach.

Is anyone else not bored of us being mediocre to crap for four months of every season? I'm not sure I can stick another one of these where it takes til late December/January for us to play well in more than a couple of games.

It's not even a guarantee we'll do that this year, that todaywas the absolute pits and arguably the shittest of the lot and 2026 is a couple of games away.

I suppose if there is anything to grasp at, it’s that if we don’t go on that run this year then we’ll have to make changes (I don’t mean managerial).

We need to move past relying on unbeaten runs to save our seasons.

But glasner done it with palace who were massive underdogs and not expected to get champions league on there budget.

Fair enough. Palace beat Stockport, Doncaster, Millwall, Fulham, Villa and City

2 hard games in all honesty. We had to play all the top four in the league at that time and the eventual league champions

yes it's grim. But you could literally cut and paste every season. I presume that you'll just forget all the times you were utterly wrong when you are finally right.

Believe me, I’d be much happier to be wrong. I love Eddie to bits but I just think he’s taken us as far as he can.

Considering where that started, he’ll go down alongside KK and SBR as our best managers. There’s zero shame in it. He’s done an amazing job but it’s starting/already started to go wrong. Nobody can disagree with that at this stage.

The club will always be more important to me than any single player or manager/coach.

Problem is we have had several "Brentford away" games now.

But Sunderland has a hell of a lot more meaning. If he and the Geordies on the team can't use this to put a boot in their ass, then he likely has lost the dressing room.

True, but we are literally not learning away from home.

no we're not. I'm not sayin that he will definitely use this. I'm saying that he has to to get any value out of this calamity. If he can't from this, then we must be in a particularly bad place, 3 games a week or no.

You nailed it! And I'm a dyed in the wool Howe supporter.

Any sane person would look at the last 4 years and have Howe on that same list, ahead of all of them.

The point is, there are decent managers to be had. You and I just won't have heard of them.

And yet my posts are the only ones you've replied to in a thread full of people genuinely wanting him out, calling me a fruit loop snowflake for...not being sure what my stance is at the moment..? And asking legitimate questions about our performances this season?

If you want to go on the attack at me and me alone, then continue to go for it, but if you're goading me then don't be surprised at the outcome as I really can't be fucked
