Wasn't it more of a case of sit deep to conserve energy and hit them on the break ? Again I don't like this plan against the Mackems but I do see the logic. Possibly, I just think we went there not to lose.

Agree, I found it unacceptable and was fuming still am but I'm not going as far as cowardly. Again I do see what we were trying to do but it was completely wrong imo. We went there to try not lose imo. Howe isn’t a coward mind. I thought we were shit for 20 minutes and then started to slowly creep into the game. The OG straight after the half killed us. They had no real chances and neither did we. Dreadful game of football all round. I thought both teams were ‘cowardly’ if that is the case and the terminology you want to use. Both sides seemed to be playing not to lose and the stats bear that out.

Call it out for what it was a total shit show. Hey you disagree that's fine You said he's a coward, full stop. You've since rowed back on that. Which is ironic... Maggies
Just my opinion but I thought Sunday’s setup was cowardly and a mess. There were many occasions when you see our defence and midfield in flat lines with Xhaka orchestrating in front. Neville (one of the worst managers in history) was calling it that our midfield and defence were far too deep which left Nick isolated. Gordon and Elanga played poorly but they kept receiving the ball in our own half and having to run it up the pitch. The only reaction we got was due to going a goal behind. It was not proactive, it was totally reactive. How many times do we make triple subs on the hour. Then as the game went on, as has happened many times this season with subs, we ended up a mess. Willock running in to space that Hall would need etc. No structure at all. In general I don’t think Howe is a coward, but the cowardly setup and performance on Sunday is on him. Today disagreeing with his captain (after his captain said what he should have done) and then try and say it was a similar set up to Everton is cowardly also. Eddie Howe said he's gonna chin you. He's just been on the wireless. He'll meet you outside Old Orleans at 3. He said leave your jaw in the ken, cos he'll just end up snapping it. Obviously my focus is on us and as the superior team, it’s much worse for us to try not lose imo.

Lucky
I’ve criticised the manager for many things but being a coward isn’t one of them. Cautious yes, but that’s where we are because of the other elements. The mackems game, they were taking the play to us and we were hoping to catch them on the counter which we as a team are still well capable of doing but once the goal went in they sat back and they were the ones looking to counter then. That’s always been this teams weak spot, unlocking a low block. We just don’t have the patterns of play to do it and we never have. I can’t see where he’s going to suddenly find that and ultimately why I feel a change is probably for the best.

You get nothing, if just about your entire team is sitting in its own half. We didn't do that against Everton. jackyboy
He is playing with what he's got. We've been playing 3 games a week and he would have been happy with a draw and so would I. The situation we are in is not what he chose, the rat destroyed the first half of our season
