rebelrouser
Sounds like he needs to hand the recruitment duties to someone else and should have done so in the summer.

GEFAFWISP
I don't admire his dedication at all frankly. If Bruce can get us to 10th working 2 half days a week Howe is clearly underperforming. Imagine what Bacon Boy could've done on 40 hour working week, we'd be title challengers minimum. Sort it out Eddie. Work smart, not hard. Spend time with your wife and kids. Yorkie
The original tweet being responded to is just thick as fuck, basically. Who's talking about underdog stories? Even if they were, we've outperformed our expenditure literally every season under Howe. The point about Elanga et al is basically a strawman argument in the PSR debate, too. Even if those three had made a positive impact instantly, it wouldn't mean PSR wasn't still a negative force on us. If anything it only amplifies the unfairness about how others can accommodate mistakes but we can't.

Checko
Even though that tweet is very supportive of Howe, it does get the wage comparison a little wrong as far as I can tell (mainly underplaying Man U as he's an anti-Glazer. "His player wage bill is around £160-180m, it’s not miles of United and Tottenham at £170-180m. But it’s basically half of Liverpool, City and Chelsea’s wage bill of £300m." The UEFA (https://ecfil.uefa.com/2024) figures (albeit for a year or two ago) give wages (in euros) as: NUFC: 227 Spuds: 260 (can see why Spurs fans are frustrated given their income) Manure: 429 Respect FC: 449 Pep has it tough FC: 554 NOTE: Wages seems to be :"All categories of wages, player wages, coaching and technical staff and administrative and commercial wages are now considerably higher than they were before the pandemic." So not just players, and bigger operations probably have more backroom wage bill. Plus obviously Man U have been trying to jettison some high earners since, but I suspect our wage bill is still quite a bit lower than theirs. Cf
Those dinner ladies were taking the piss. Probably knocked at least 25% off the wage bill right there.

Ramsey has looked hopeless. Meanwhile every single team in the league is able to find players from other leagues for half the price. All because Howe likes Premier League experience. Lush Vlad
His predictable subs and refusal to try something different. Even when we are playing like a bag of shit and don’t look like scoring for 90 hours, never mind minutes. Is starting to get frustrating, I must say.
