As I said in the match thread - no reaction to the previous two defeats. Not good enough at all from the players and the manager - it's very much looking like a limp to the end of the season.

I wouldn't blame PIF/the board if the pulled the plug at the end of the season. It's all gone so stale - CL run aside. Team and squad has regressed.

We pressed them high up the pitch when we could.

We won the ball in their third often enough.  Osula was running channels, chasing down everything.  Murphy didn't do much today, but the rest certainly tried.

So you are telling us that what we saw is what Howe intended and the players had already did their part?

I’m not saying get rid but I don’t think his players are playing for him as much anymore.

They couldn't give a fuck and it was pretty evident after the game at the SOTL.

a team full of players who have checked out and a coach who keeps making the same mistakes over and over.

The idea that there aren't better coaches out there is crazy. Off the top of my head there is Xavi, Poch, Maresca and Iraola.

There are definitely good coaches out there, no doubt.

The issue is the timing. A lot of clubs will most likely be in the market this summer, so competition for those names will be intense.

It’s not just about identifying better coaches, it’s about actually landing one ahead of everyone else I’m afraid.

People wanted Bobby out.  And in walked Souness.

Aye let's never get rid of a manager ever because 20 years ago we dropped a bollock by appointing Souness [emoji38]

No point trying to debate with Howe FC fans. He can do no wrong in their minds and there is always an excuse.

I see the time on the training ground excuse has failed but just give them some time to spin a new hot take to absolve Howe.

May get the boot first.

Don’t think anyone would allow it to come to that tbh. I think we lose comfortably next weekend and that will be that.

There's bigger overarching problems with this team than the manager, but sure, if people want to blame everything on Eddie and think shipping him out will fix the problem - no doubt we'll wait another seventy odd years for another trophy when the owners bring in some journeyman coach who doesn't give a flying fuck about the club. It's sounds like that sort of culture is already developing for some anyway, judging everything short-term, because that always works out well.

He’ll walk.

That's my gut feeling as well. He really needed a win today to get everyone on board, including his players.

Well - I disagree mate.

By your logic can say that about any loss.

They didn't try in the Carabao Cup final that we lost?  But we tried when we won- I guess. Super convenient.

Genuine question to the 100% Behind Eddie fans. What would it take for you to think he might be the issue? I'm just genuinely curious because after 33 games we've seen nothing but regression? I admire the loyalty to him but we're seeing the £150m players he bought sit on the bench and the same carbon copy performances.

Palace started a weakened side, played mid-week - we should have been at them from the off.  Yet we lacked any intensity - it felt like a pre-season game.

Gordon walking about like a testimonial

None of them are currently better.

Well Iraola has spent far less and is above him so it depends on what you're classing as "better" here.

You think he walks after the Bournemouth game (if we lose)?

If only I had the ambition to randomly 'support' a club thousands of miles away.

English football has done pretty well thanks to football fans thousands of miles away tbf.

Up to this point in their careers, Howe has proven to be better than them all.

We’ve got big problems everywhere, but you cannot keep giving away goals in the way we do. Our players make some of the stupidest decisions you’ll see at the top level and it constantly costs us - that must be infuriating for Eddie

My main reason for wanting him to stay currently, is I have zero faith in the club bringing in a good replacement.

Agreed and almost all the other managers in the league are shit too.

Glasner is lucky they got to play us today because Palace were absolutely awful.
